So I''m getting married on Saturday (YAY!) and I''m kind of freaking out about all the stuff that still needs to be done...including putting together a bag to take around with me on wedding day..

Does anyone have a list of items that are most commonly needed? Just something I can look at and check off as I get everything together? Thanks!!

Things you may want to have in your wedding bag...

travel size sewing kit
safety pins
clear nail polish (in case there''s a run in anyone''s stockings)
panty hose (if you ladies are wearing any panty hose)
throat lozenges (just in case someone''s throat hurts from the RD)
aspirin
tissues
breath mints
band aids
hand cream

A list of phone numbers that you''ll need! I''d get the numbers of all the parents, bridal party and vendors, wouldn''t hurt to give the MOH and best man a copy too!

And maybe some minimal make up for touch ups before the formal photos.

lip gloss/lipstick
tissue

tampons/pantyliners.

If you wear contacts, bring an extra pair as well as the case and solution - it may seem a little over the top, but it would stink if you lost one or had serious irritation that day!

oh yeah that would really suck! big DITTO!

- WATER! (A lot of people forget water, make sure you have enough for yourself after the ceremony and during the picture taking session.)
- TIDE TO GO!
- Blotting tissues (it''s a lifesaver! I got a pack of cheap ones from Sephora)

Also, look into your everyday purse and see what things you can''t live without. For instance, everytime I change my purse I NEED to have: lipbalm, advil, hand santizier and a pen. All of those went into my wedding day bag.

Also make sure you bring make-up for touch-ups.

If you are going to have sanitizer- a word of warning
if it gets on satin of any kind it WILL create a dark spot
how do i know? i wore a satin shirt to work today and used some sanitizer...guess what just happened about 40 minutes ago? lol good thing the day is almost over!

Congratulations, KelBel26! Not long to go now...how exciting

Thank you all so much for the suggestions....

A tranquilizer dart would be hilarious!

Unscented baby wipes are perfect for removing stains in emergencies.

~a backup cd with all of your important wedding music on it....first dance, father/daughter dance, etc....(all of "your" songs your DJ might not normally have with him as a DJ - EVEN if you gave him the songs on cd before the wedding)

trust me on this one. :)

~lip gloss

~a note to yourself reminding you of anything you might need - for me it was a reminder to take a moment alone with my hubby to step back and soak in the surroundings together.

I had a bag with all of my necessities - extra makeup (lip gloss/blush/powder), breath mints, extra deodorant, checkbook (to pay the make-up artist), and itinerary for the day.

My MOH surprised me with a fun "bridal bag" full of candy (which I didn''t really eat), gum, playing cards, a slinky, a stress ball, Pepto Bismol, Gas-X, Immodium, Advil, and Tylenol! She was definately prepared in case of a stomach emergency...LOL!

Luckily I didn''t need much of it, but was nice to have on hand "just in case!"

My wedding bag had the following, and I used about 70% of it:

Baby powder
Fashion tape
Lint roller
Sewing kit
Lip gloss/chapstick
Odorless baby wipes
Deoderant
Tide Wipes
Tissues
Makeup remover cloths
Q-tips
Antibacterial gel
Asprin/Aleve

Good luck and enjoy your wedding!

Lol too hilarious - Kel I can just see the local newspaper headlines "Bride In Jail after Tranquiliser Shooting at Weekend Wedding"

I have nothing to add but best wishes for your big day!!

My wedding day emergency bag is huge!!!

I have most of the stuff already listed, but I made a point of buying a bright pink makeup bag, which I plan to leave just inside the door of our room at the resort where we are getting married. That way if I need to send a Mum or BM back to the room, it''s easily recognisable and accessible. Nothing worse than having someone miss pictures cos they are searching for a non-descript bag!
