So we got the confirmation from the church today for a 0930 am wedding. FI and I were discussing what to do between the wedding and evening reception. I said just take it easy, relax. I could go surfing, or maybe watch football...wait football? 0930 am? I''m going to miss the football game! Nooooooooo! Then I realized the wedding is in May (after football season). WHEW. Sorry ladies, it''s just that time of year when a man''s fancy turns to ....

This is hilarious!
AND one of the reasons we ddn''t get married in the fall!
Seriously!

Um, yeah....

We''re getting married in the fall, but it''s his fault for waiting until August to propose! He says "we shouldn''t leave for our honeymoon immediately... we should stay a day or two an hang out with everybody that came to see us." Part of me wants to believe that he means exactly what he says but there''s this little voice telling me "he wants to watch football on Sunday..." If that''s his way of bonding with his male cousins who have traveled a couple thousand miles to see us get married, then ok, but I wish he''d just tell me straight up.

That''s so funny, our wedding is literally the week between his football and basketball seasons. He wanted it so he''d miss the end of football, but had plenty of time for basketball tryouts. I guess guys really do think of that kind of stuff, huh?

May is baseball season. I''m out in Cali and we tend not to have extreme sports nuts, but I could imagine a Boston Red Sox fan freaking out.

LOL! There''s always Tivo/ DVR.

Oh gosh.. there was a hockey playoff game the night before AND the night after our wedding... it was a big ordeal.. There was no TV at the Rehearsal dinner.. but no one complained TOO much.. and then the night after.. my husband made me sit at some scummy bar and watch the game instead of PACKING FOR OUR HONEYMOON THAT WE HAD TO LEAVE FOR AT 5:30 AM.. We didn''t have cable at our house at the time because we just moved in..

But I''m confused.. When is there football on at 9:30 AM.. even on the west coast.. it can''t start before 10.. right? and they try to make the west coast teams play later.. and just for the record.. I would have KILLED myself before I had a 9:30 am wedding. I can hardly look presentable for WORK at 9:30.. let alone my WEDDING..

Our wedding is set for 10am on a Saturday, which sucks because his games are early in the morning, too. Oh well! Our ceremony, I should say, is set for 10, the reception for 11am. I wanted a daytime wedding, and in November, daytime doesn''t last too long. Maybe I''m not very perceptive, but I thought football is played in the morning, afternoons and evenings? I wouldn''t know because I watch something else on a completely different TV on those days!
