What shoes does everyone plan on wearing on their wedding day. Here are mine.

OMG, Paris, those shoes are stunning!

I have no idea what shoes I'll be wearing. I'm very very short so definitely something really high, that's all I know for now.

Paris those shoes are beautiful.
I bought these bridal shoes for a wedding I canceled earlier this year, so might probably wear these.
I bought them in ivory.

I know I want red high heels, but not the exact pair. Something along these lines:

Flats. SO is like a quarter of an inch shorter than I am.

Paris...those are SMOKIN HOT.

Thanks! Everyone's shoes are gorgeous!

Ummm... are any of you ladies who are planning to wear (very) high heels thinking ahead to standing up for a long period of time that day?

I plan to wear what I am most comfortable in-- flat shoes for sure! Depending on my attire, I'll probably end up wearing a pair of TOMS. (www.tomsshoes.com) They are cute and very comfortable for me AND they are charitable. :)

I live in heels, so I don't foresee any trouble with being in heels for long periods ;)

I'm with you kagordo, my bf is about an inch shorter than me. I think I'm going to go barefoot, I hate shoes since they never fit me. I wish I could wear something like yours Paris, they're so pretty!

Those Loub's are so hot! I have no idea what shoes I want to wear, but I love Kate Spade's collection of heels. They are so playful with great colors, so I think that's an option to explore. Definitely something I can get a lot of wear out of after the big day.

I'm usually really good in heels but since bf is only a few inches taller than me (and all that standing and dancing would kill my feet) I'm thinking either Dr. Martens (Odd, yes. Comfortable, most certainly.) or my good ol' Converse would be a great plan. Just gotta find a dress long enough so they aren't too obvious. 8)

Something MUCH lower than any of the ones posted. They're going to be hidden by my dress, and my FI is the perfect height compared to me...plus I want to be comfy!!!

I found these today, so if I end up getting these I will wear the black ones I posted earlier, for the rehearsal dinner with a black herve leger dress. Thoughts?

Will you regret wearing either pair considering they are both very trendy, and in wedding pictures will probably look more outdated?

Wow, Paris! Those are gorgeous! I love the first pair - they are incredibly sexy!

I am exactly one half inch taller than 5', so I'll be wearing the highest, dressiest heels I can find. My SO is nearly a foot taller than I am, so this is the only way I'll look normal-sized!

Only problem is that I have freakishly small feet: UK size 3. I have already started looking for my dream heels, but I know it will take months before I find them... Sometimes I think it was easier to find my dream man than it is to find dream shoes!

I know what you mean! I also wear Uk size 3 and it's so difficult to find shoes that fit. Size 3's are a mission to find and in some styles they're even too big for me! I really wish our shoes started at a size 2. A few months ago I went to Singapore and their shoes are all small! It was amazing, I came back with so many pairs. One pair I bought is even a tiny bit too small, I've never experienced that before. So I've decided I need to make a trip to Singapore every few years just to stock up on shoes!

OMG! Finally someone who understands! I'm a 2/3 as well - probably my Bushie heritage!

I would love to go shoeshopping in Singapore! We holidayed in Australia last year and my bf and I returned with 15kg of overweight baggage - all shoes!

Have you started looking for wedding shoes yet?

Cool! I'm going to Australia next year March for my FBIL's wedding. I should tell my BF we need to go a few days early to do some shoe shopping! He won't be happy about that.

I haven't actively started looking for wedding shoes yet but I do keep a look out for anything that catches my eye. It's going to be difficult to find something that I absolutely love, and that fits me properly! Like you said, finding those dream shoes is going to be harder than it was to find my the dream man! Haha!

I'll probably end up in TOMS also! Maybe I'll get some cute brightly colored shoes for the ceremony and have TOMS ready for the reception.

These are mine! They're the Jimmy Choo Clue glitter peep toe pump that are a Nordstrom exclusive. I actually bought them several months ago and they've just been sitting in their box and it's KILLING MEEEEEEE. I don't anticipate any problems wearing them - for the short periods of time that I've tried them on, they feel VERY comfortable. I also worked high end retail in college and was often on my feet in heels for 8 hrs straight - I have trained my tootsies well!

I ALMOST returned them when I came across these, which are made of the same material: http://www.saksfifthavenue.com/main...LBASE001&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=0448820373971. To be honest, I like this pair better as "wedding" shoes, but I would probably never wear them afterward - not really my style. The Clue pumps I will definitely wear to death after the wedding. Plus, the Clues have a platform and have higher heels - at 4'11" I need all the height I can get!

i dont have any picked out, but im thinking he Sex in the City Cobalt blue ones, that way they are my somethign blue and go with my reception dress...lol. Knowing me, ill pick out the dress to match the shoes. LoL.

blue I love those shoes

This is just my opinion, but I feel like white shoes with a white wedding gown is completely boring! Of course I want a traditional white (or ivory or whatever) wedding gown but I'm totally feeling fun shoes! My colors will be pink and gold (yes I've already decided on my colors....) so I want to coordinate my shoes in some way! My boyfriend is a little on the short side :/ and he told me very strictly that I can't be taller than him on our wedding day, so I have to choose some that are not too tall...

I am already married and shouldn't be in this thread (what can I say I like looking at shoes) BUT I have to know where you found those pink shoes. They are the cutest things I''ve seen!

Thanks!

I'm 5'7" and my bf is an entire foot taller than I am. So technically I could wear very tall shoes and still be fine. But I'm big on comfort. Maybe I'll bedazzle some flip-flops. Yeah, seriously. I was blessed/cursed with ridiculously high arches, so heels are pretty painful.

I am a old lady with shoe experience lol, I bought beautiful new shoe's for my wedding, loved them, hubby is quite a bit taller then me so I wanted to be taller....well gotta say it was a mistake, I never wore the shoes before the wedding, I had a triple wedding, so the ceremony lasted for quite some time and my feet were KILLING me by the end of the ceremony, I got to the reception and I was barefooted the rest of the time...so my advice is that if you want to wear those killer, beautiful shoes, wear them, but get them ahead of time and break them in :wink2:

ditto that, and bring a comfy spare. I thought mine were really comfortable, but at the end of the night I was barefoot too!

I also wear a UK 3...I wore the blue Manolos from Sex and The City. They were a gift from DH and I love them! I don't care if blue shoes are trendy and dated, they made me so happy!

As far as standing in them for long periods, mine had a 4.25" heel and I wore them the whole day and was totally fine. If you are used to it, and want to wear high shoes, go for it!

I think everyone at some point or another does something "trendy" and something "classic" for their wedding no matter what they try. It's a wedding afterall, and in the end, it's all been done, right?
