We got married yesterday and it was fantastic! I hope to be able to post some photos soon. We had our "three things that go wrong" the day before. Friday night my cell phone snapped in half (and had ALL THE NUMBERS for the caterer, florist, baker, etc.), the florist delivered green instead of white orchids for my hair, and my nephew vomited all over our rehearsal dinner. So, the three things were out of the way and we had a lovely day on Saturday. It''s true, I don''t remember a lot of it, but my incredible sister in law made a photo montage and video that night, so we watched it at the brunch on Sunday and enjoyed it. I didn''t cry at the ceremony, but cried today watching it! PHEW! Now I can breathe again.

Oh Rembedee, congratulations!! Enjoy your new married life and the sweet memories of your wedding. Excited to see pictures!

I am so glad that you got the 3 out of the way the day before. I hope you get a chance to post shots of the big day soon.

Congratulations! Congratulations!
The more I hear people say it, the more I think we need to make a video. I''d hate to have my wedding fly by and not remember it all!
Breathe! Enjoy! Congrats!

Sounds gorgeous! And although it may not have been what you were looking for, green orchids in a hairdo sounds REALLY lovely and unique!

Congratulations!

Congrats on a successful day (despite the green orchids and sick nephew)...cannot wait for you to post some pics.

Congratulations!!!!

Can''t wait for some pics!

Congratulations! So glad you had a wonderful day! And thanks for sharing your story...makes me think I better jot down all those numbers on a pad of paper for my own wedding in 5 days!

And it kinda makes me wish we had gotta a videographer...but even someone with a home camcorder would nice, eh?

There are no words to describe the panic and fear I felt when my cell phone broke. I dropped it while trying to put on makeup for the rehearsal dinner and taking last minute calls, and it hit the tile and that was it. The flip top flipped right off. I moved my SIM card to another phone but couldn't access the numbers. Today I was able to upload my SIM to yet another phone, and at least got the numbers off, because many of them aren't in my phone book. My big advice: write down the numbers you will need or put them in another phone as well! Don't just rely on your cell, what if it breaks or the battery is dead? And update your phone book occasionally. I would have had to spend hours tracking down numbers if I couldn't eventually get into the SIM card.

Our videos were done by family and friends, so we didn't need a pro. We didn't expect one at all. We were amazed our family did it for us. But you should have one...it really was nice to sit down together last night and watch it. It just goes so fast, and there's so much going on that you don't see, because you are whirling about trying to see everybody, and I barely remember our vows.

And finally, at some point, say NO. I finally said, "I will stand wherever you want, I'll go where you tell me, but PLEASE do not ask me another question!" I couldn't take one more. I was able to let go and stop deciding things. That was wonderful.

Good luck SelfLove! You are going to have a wonderful time! Just expect three bad things will happen, whatever they are, and then you can relax. What could we do, as our nephew sprayed my father, our guests, the room, his father, and himself with vomit? Absolutely nothing, so we took care of him and made sure he wasn't terribly embarassed, and then DH and I went outside and laughed. We'll always remember it, and our friends and family will remember that we handled it gracefully and with laughter. It was certainly a memorable evening.

And ONE more thing I remembered, I didn't "turtle" during the photos, stick my head out and down, and since we were up on a hill and people were taking photos, I have a double chin in every photo! ACK! I hope the professional ones turn out a bit better. Make sure you stick your head out and down a bit, even though it looks weird, so you don't have this problem. I hope we have a few nice photos, and I'm bummed already.

oooh congrats!!!!
