Wedding gift from my in-laws

Hi everyone!

My first ever stand-alone post in Show Me The Ring!

I have posted in Bride World Wide & Ladies In Waiting AFTER my wedding, haha! I was engaged last Aug and got married this April. As an engagement gift, my in-laws gave me a sapphire ring. No statistics though except that it was purchased in Milan. My father-in-law gave the ring to my mother-in-law when my hubby was born. So, it guess it is a push-present! They went on to have another son (diamond ear studs) and one daughter (three stone ring). They celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary next year. How lucky is my mother-in-law! I sure hope that my hubby takes after his father...

My in-laws were really sweet and suggested that i could change the settings if i wanted to.

Wow...that is amazing! Lucky you!!! I would hate to change it because of the sentimental value but...
if I were it would be to make it more wearable for everyday (or at least more often then very fancy
occasions).

I would have the diamonds put in a diamond-by-the-yard necklace and maybe have the sapphire set in
a more simple halo with smaller diamonds.

Its truly beautiful and reminds me of Princess Di''s engagement ring.

It reminds me of Princess Di''s ring too, except I believe your diamonds are bigger!

I''d do the same thing as tyty suggested. Those diamonds would make one heck of a DBY necklace and I''d put that glorious sapphire into a halo like Amethyst''s yellow diamond. It would look grand and regal and gorgeous.
