OK, I keep flip flopping about what to do with my hair-- literally like so sure I''m going to do 1/2 up and 1/2 down and then so sure I want a full updo. I have to schedule my hair trial and I"ve been majorly putting it off because I have no idea what will look good on me. Generally I don''t like my hair all up, but then I''ll see a curlier, loose updo and I that that could work.

So, I am posting my pics in hopes that someone will be able to visualize what would work well for me? I usually have some long angled bangs, but they''ve grown out and I haven''t made an appointment to get them trimmed in a couple months.

For hair accessories, I have a more headband like tiara and a fingertip length veil with some beading on it. My dress is slim A-line, ivory lace over champagne and sweetheart necklined (it''s posted in my other threads)

Suggestions, please?????

dress, for reference...

SP,

I think you could do half up and half down. Did you ever see Stepfod wives with Nicole Kidman, the way she had her long hair at the end in the barette, but the sides were left down to frame her face. That could work.

Thanks, Kimberlina for the suggestion!! I couldn't find an exact picture from the movie to reference, but do you mean something like this (the pic on the right)?

What my stylist asked me was what do I USUALLY do with my hair. My answer was never half up and half down, always up or down. But I do both up and down regularly. So she pointed out that most brides should aim to look like themselves on their wedding day, just a "prettier" version. So if you want to look like yourself, how do YOU usually wear your hair?

For me, I chose an updo, with a bit of volume in the front. I do a much more dressed down version regularly, so I will still feel like MYSELF, just a bit more dressed up. I think you'll be most comfortable on the day of choosing something similar to what you usually do, only better.

Good point -- I usually wear my hair half up and half down or all down. Ever since a plastic surgeon told me that I don''t have the ''face'' for wearing my hair up, (and this was post rhinoplasty where I was swollen, bruised and feeling like the ugliest person in the world) I haven''t been able to wear my hair up without feeling self conscious, unless i have bangs or something down around my face. Nice, huh?

Aww SP, that is a whole other story. But yes, if you are self conscious about it, don''t even THINK about an updo. You want to be comfortable on your wedding day ya know? I would stick to what you know you like.

If your hair holds a curl well, you could do something like these:

Nope. But I did go to Umass, and I think if I remember correctly you did too right? I''m from the Berkshires, but we''re getting married in San Francisco.

I love Reese as well...I am actually copying parts of one of her updos for my own wedding hair! Kate Walsh also has some great down hairstyles too...

Lol. I avoided the "DC" as much as possible, even when I was living on campus. But that is super cute that you guys met there! What a story huh? hehe.

Speaking of Kate Walsh, her wedding hair could look fab on you!

Now that''s just ridiculous! I think you''d look really pretty with an updo, or 1/2 up. This was my inspiration hairstyle, and I think it would look great on you, esp. with a tiara.

You''re very pretty! Is it wearing your hair fully down, the way you have it in your pic, an option? You could style it in loose curls or waves.

Thanks, Sha. The only thing is that my hair is shorter than how long I''d like ti to be to have it all down. Although, my wedding hair stylist specializes in extensions, so maybe I could get some ... I''ll have to ask her while I''m in MA over the next weekend.

That''s so funny! I immediately thought of that pic when I saw the one of you.

BTW, I was a MA bride too. Didn''t go to UMass but tons of people I went to HS with did.
