Anyone here keeping a wedding journal? Before I got engaged, I heard someone say that they had kept a wedding journal to chronicle the whole process, and I thought, wow, what a great idea!

I''m not a journal keeper on a regular basis, but I did start a wedding journal, with my first entry being about my proposal. Since then, I write about all of my wedding related adventures, including my nightmares and other wedding related dreams. I actually really enjoy doing this, and I hope to continue to write in the journal on each anniversary after I get married in May. I haven''t looked back at anything I have written yet (I started in 9 months ago), but I know that it will probably become one of my dearest posessions, and if I have a daughter or granddaughter, I will pass it on to them with the hopes that they will find it humerous and maybe start one of there own.

So, are any of you keeping a wedding journal?

Nice idea! I consider myself a lapsed-journaler but hadn''t thought about doing one specifically leading up the wedding. Right now my entries read something like "blah blah school blah blah family blah blah oh yea, and we''re engaged now so..."

I have one! It''s for me to just jot down my thoughts and feels during the whole evolution of our relationship. The engagement stage is brief and precious so I figured keeping a journal to chronicle the changes I''m going through wouldn''t be a bad idea.

I''ve been trying to keep a wedding blog. I love journaling via pen and paper, but I also love typing and sometimes blogging is just faster. So far I''ve written mostly about my journey with finding and choosing vendors, etc. Nothing too exciting, but I wanted to have something to remember the experience by. At first I was writing down all of my emotions, good and bad, but then realized that some of my relatives and family were reading and I guess somethings I wrote might have been mildly offensive to them (not really sure how since I didn''t really vent about anyone in particular. just described my emotions.) So then I began censoring myself in my entries. I''ve recently made my blog open by invitation only (not sure why I didn''t think of this before...) so I will probably go back to documenting my real feelings about the whole experience.

I think once I start being able to express myself in my blog, it''ll be a lot more fun and sentimental to read a few years down the line!

I think it''s great that you''re keeping a physical journal! There''s something special about reading a physical book with pages you can feel and handwriting that takes you back to when you wrote it. I''m sure your future daughters and granddaughters would love to have something like this passed down from you to them

I think this is a cute idea, definitely something I would do.

I''m with monkeypants here. I have an online blog that''s restricted to only my fiance, sister, and a cousin who will be one of my bridesmaids. The first entry is about the proposal, and the rest of the entries so far have been about the journey of finding a reception venue. I also have one entry about my potential color scheme, but I''m sure I''ll add more entries about any and all wedding ideas I come up with along the way.

Good luck with your wedding journal girlface! And most importantly, have fun along the way!

I did this, sort of. I have a blog as well as I kept detailed records of the entire vendor selection process and design planning in my "pink book". The pink book was my wedding planner. After the wedding a family member made us a huge birch box with a lock and I was able to fit all of my wedding stationary, cards, planning items, pink book, favors...seriously anything related to the wedding including a few empty personalized water bottles went in that box. It''s now on the top of my closet and we are going to take it out on our aniversary and go through it.
