I''m normally just a lurker.... but I just NEED to get this out somewhere!!! I am a freaking ball of STRESS.

1. * STRESS * Our wedding is in 2 1/2 weeks! Friday, November 2. We''re leaving for our wedding on Oct 27 (it''s a DW) in less than 2 weeks! I still have to make place cards, coordinate the music, other crap, etc!!

2. * STRESS * We bought a house together & close on it 3 days before we leave for the wedding - Oct 24. This has taken up a lot of my "wedding" time!

3. * STRESS * TWO mortgages! I''ve been going mad getting my house in order to sell it. I have finally posted a "For Sale" sign in the yard. BREATHE....

4. * STRESS * I was offered a new job yesterday which I have to give an answer to today and I''ve been up since 2:30 AM thinking about it.... Is anyone ever 100% sure about these things?? It''s only a 5% increase but it''s a good opportunity.

This is supposed to be the happiest time of my life!!! The last 4 years have been hard with my dad''s lung cancer and I never thought he''d be around to walk me down the aisle BUT HE IS alive and WELL!

How do I de-stress and focus on my WONDERFUL life right now?!

I''ve learned that despite everything we''ve been told since childhood, engagement is not always the happiest time of our lives. And when stuff starts pilling up (school, work, houses, family troubles, etc.), stress takes over and stress is not fun! So, first off, don''t sress over not being the "floating on cloud 9 bride" you thought you would be at this point.

About your wedding stuff left, could you delegate it to your FI or a family member? Use the support system that you have! Good luck with the houses and the job (congrats on the offer!).

Tell yourself that it''ll pass. And when all that will be done, you''ll go off to a sunny place and get married!

Excellent advice anchor31. I will have to keep in mind what you said when i get in crunch time a year from now. Well said!

No wonder why you are stressed, as you have several large events ocurring at nearly the same time. While stress is always going to be in our lives (hey, life without stress would be boring), we need to try to minimize at least some of it, which are stressors that we can control. To do this, you might want to priortize your stressors and deal with one at a time.

What looks to be top priority is obviously your job offer, so focus solely on that decision, which is a biggie. As for the wedding, you received excellent advice to enlist your friends/family to help you take care of the details. In terms of your home closing, is there still anything that must be done for that? If not, breathe on this one. There is not much you can do about your 2 mortages, but you have your house ready to sell, so you should take your own advice and set it aside for the moment.

Of course, you are still going to feel stress about all of these events, but having a plan sometimes helps. Think about it, in the next 2.5 weeks, you will have made the decision on the job offer and your wedding will be over, so the biggest challenge you will face will be selling your home. Of course, selling your home will not be easy, but the stress of the wedding + job offer will not be there. BREATHE, you can do it!! :)

Let us know what you decide in terms of the job offer...
