Wedding Nightmares?!

Please tell me i''m not nuts! Haha. My wedding is a year away (August 18th, 07) so i don''t know what the heck is wrong with me. I''ve been having these nightmares about the wedding. Last night i had one where i went dress shopping at the last minute and they delivered my dress to me at the venue. i didn''t look at because i was too busy getting ready. My mom showed me the bouqet she had gotten and i broke down in tears. it was this hideous, and i mean HIDEOUS, purple concoction. Wilting and half dead. I told her i specifically wanted a white bouquet and starting crying. so we went to albertsons (grocery store), 2 hours before the wedding, to get some white roses. and to michaels to get some white ribbon and straight pins. i made the bouqet on the way back. it was pretty good, but stressful. so, i guess my dad had set up the officiant, because he hands me this piece of paper with questions that i was supposed to fill out weeks before the wedding. So i''m filling it out about an hour before the ceremony. and my hair is greasy because i haven''t showered. and i''m in my robe. so i do that, take a shower and start doing my hair. i go to put on my dress and i take it out and it is a BRONZE colored stripper-gear type thing. With a thong. My ass hanging out. And i''m crying. and i wake up.

I also had a dream last week that i walked to Target in El Segundo for flowers on my wedding day in my wedding dress. barefoot!(there aren''t even flowers at target. wth?!). And El Segundo is a good 45 miles from my wedding site!

At least i''m not having dreams about leaving my fiance at the alter or vice versa. The funniest thing is, when i''m awake, i don''t stress about the wedding at all. i''m very confident i can pull it off. no bridezilla behavior. type A super organized. Why the heck am i having these funkyass dreams?! Argghhh. . haha.

Please just tell me i''m not insane. Thanks girls. I love you all.

I know there is an older thread about this, because I know I posed on it.
At some point I dreamed that one of my bridesmaids invited Kelly Osbourne.
And she arrived at my wedding in my exact dress, but in black!

CELLO....your nightmare totally made me laugh girl!!! a stripper bronze outfit with your butt hanging out?! OMG..that was classic. i'm sure it wasn't funny when it was happening but i bet when you woke up you were like WHAAA????

i had nightmares too, nothing quite so graphic but i do remember thinking 'what?!? the wedding is today' and then wandering around trying to find my dress and realizing i hadn't even found shoes yet for the wedding at all, and why wasn't i ready and where was the church (i wasn't even getting married in a church)...etc. i think it's just a natural thing. kind of like not being able to sleep well or having nightmares about missing your plane the night before a big trip or something when you know you have to get up early and catch the shuttle or whatever. whenever something big happens with anxiety of how it's going to happen or be pulled off, i think that our worries manifest in dreams.

You are not insane. But I agree with Mara that your dreams are extremely entertaining. I''m getting married in Rome and working with a wedding planner whose native language is Italian. I speak enough Italian to get by reasonably when it comes to simple conversation but my vocabulary is lacking when it comes to wedding issues. Nonetheless, I''ve tried to communicate in Italian that I want a bouquet of pink roses and I''m worried it''ll be translated into something like "I want to wear broccoli in my hair."

awww. thanks girls The funniest thing is that, i always have really vivid dreams. I dream in bright bright color and can always remember weird details like what color peoples socks are. Haha. I think Mara is right about those dreams about missing your plane. I guess this is the same I just hope that the more things i book and the more details i get nailed down, the less funky my dreams will be. At least my fiance is getting a huge kick out of it. I''ve told him my dreams and he kisses my head and calls me special. Haha

WOW! I can''t believe you remember people''s socks in your dream haha that''s hardcore Hey, I sometimes get those weird spinning and falling dreams and I just wake up freaking out but I don''t end up falling the next day. So don''t worry about ending up in Target...at least it''s not WalMart.

it''s ok, I too have had crazy dreams and thoughts. I''m type A personality too. The thing about type A''s is that sometimes we think of the flipside...the what will go wrong and then try to compensate for it. These things are usually things we''ve done before or have some similar idea about. Now a wedding is uncharted territory(for some). It''s your special day and part of you is simply nervous about the flipside.

Don''t worry, you''re human...don''t let the dreams freak you out. I say(and trust me this is HARD)expect somethings to not go as planned, but all in all have fun and enjoy yourself.
