Wedding Planning Checklist!

I just thought it might be fun to keep a running tally of how much of your wedding planning you have done, and what you have left! So just type a list of what you''re proud to have accomplished so far, and a list of what you still have remaining, then come back later and tell us what more you''ve done by then! And include your wedding date too please!

Me first!

I''ve only done things which I find fun to plan so far for my June 2007 wedding....

I have:
-bought my wedding ring
-researched fiance''s wedding ring and know pretty much what we''ll order
-registered for SOME gifts online (not complete and haven''t told anyone about it yet)
-started a wedding website (also not telling people about it yet)
-ordered a few sample invitations and figured out a general vision for invitations
-decided where to have the wedding (family home, so no "booking" required)
-chosen Save the Date magnets to order
-and the one I''m most proud of....ORDERED MY WEDDING DRESS TODAY!!!!!

Still need to:
-find a caterer (& choose a menu, rent tables, etc)
-actually order fiance''s wedding ring/invitations/save the dates/etc
-orchestrate who''s staying where
-figure out a real budget

-decide if I want a veil, and pick shoes & other accessories
-come up with a flower plan
-refine my very very basic decor vision
-plan the whoooooole Chinese wedding banquet which will be one month after the wedding
-ten million other things I''ll freak out about later!

-wedding rings
-BM dresses (ahhhhh)
-tuxes for the fellows
-wording on invitations so we can order
-catholic premarital training
-pick our menu
-pick our cake
-favors??
-make appointment for hair trial
-find some bridal accessories/undergarments
-meet with florist (have an appointment)
-get dress altered (have an appointment)
-pick songs i.e. father/daughter, first dance and get them to the band to learn
-programs
-menus
-presents for wedding party
-place cards

likely a ton of other stuff...

Hehe, I''m SOOOOOOO torn about it since every fiber of my being is saying "POST PICTURES ON PS!!!!!" but my fiance''s friend (hi, if you''re still lurking!

) randomly came across PS a while ago and saw a thread with a picture so he knows who I am, so I''m just too worried that someone else might stumble across it and either intentionally or not send the link to my fiance....so I''m still debating....

BUT I''m pretty sure that anyone who knows him who comes across this won''t go to a lot of trouble to find pictures, so I''ll tell you the designer and name and you can track it down if you want!

It''s by Pronovias and it''s called "Jaguar" (how weird a dress name is that???) in the Dreams collection. BUT I''m altering it to get rid of the ugly neck thing (yes, I know it''s not "ugly" objectively but OH WOW is it ugly on me) so it will just be strapless. Also the material is SOOOOOO much more gorgeous in real life!!!!!! Man, I want to shaaaare!!!!! We''ll see if I break later.

And if you know my fiance - DO NOT SHOW IT TO HIM OR YOU WILL DIIIIE!!!!!

What I have left: (literally from the list sitting on the desk next to me!)

check out spas for the day before pampering
buy wine (and do more tasting!!)
finish veil
pick 1st song
make programs (I think I will delegate this to FI since he is picking all the music)
make table ID cards
make place setting cards
get everyone''s arrival times to coordinate airport pickup, if possible
buy makeup
make reservation for passenger van rental

-favors?? not sure we are doing these yet
-need to find someone to do my hair

I guess it goes without saying that I haven''t done any of those other things in Lulu''s & Caribou''s lists.

Seattle - You have NO IDEA how much I want to post pictures!!!! I''m still thinking...I feel like there''s a good chance I''ll break in the end, so don''t worry!

Stuff I have done:

-Found (not booked) the site
-Found (not booked) the bakery
-Collected tons of Blue/Ivory ideas (and several cake pictures, one very simple and the other with designs)
-Found (not bought) my fiance's wedding ring
-Found (not ordered from, yet!) the place that'll do my invitations

Should probably do soon:
-Find ceremony musician
-Flower plan (Vons, Costco or an online flower mart)
-Find my dress (first *real* trip, April 8th!)
-Wedding registry (in the next 6 months)

There are several things I'm not doing (Save the Dates, Attendant gifts (don't have attendants!), Favors, Programs, DJ, etc.) that I don't have to worry about, so really, I'm just sticking to the basics. In the next couple of months or so, we'll get around to booking what we've found, but there's not a whole lot of hurry.
