Wedding Shoes - Red or Silver?

Alright, I only own black shoes so I get to pick out something different for my wedding dress. I wanted red shoes and ordered these gorgeous ruby colored shoes, but now I''m thinking light silver would go better with the dress. I have to keep the heels low which really limits my selection - this is the max height allowed - at 2 1/2 inches.

I''ll probably keep the shoes anyhow, but what would your vote be silver or red? I''d probably get the same/similar shoes in silver.

Please ignore the fact that the top of the dress obviously hasn''t been altered. Open to other suggestions as well. Maybe something that goes with the style of the dress.

I found these after reading MustangFan''s shoe post. So pretty, but 3 1/2 inches high. Maybe to wear on another occassion...

Are those Caparros? They look a lot like the ones I have in Champagne to go with my ivory dress.

The red shoes are gorgeous. I do think they''re a bit jarring against the white dress, though. I think silver would be pretty and would go well with the detail on your dress.

But you should keep the red shoes regardless, and buy a killer cocktail dress to show them off. That color is yummy.

Those shoes are so cute! I''d definitely wear them under the dress, but I love my shoes to be a bit unexpected. If you''re looking for more of a matchy look and not a POP of color, you should go with the silver.

Caparros makes some shoes that look just like these (and the peep-toes are Caparros), but these are Unlisted - New Love. Only $24 so I''ll probably hang on to them. I''m been into finding items in this pretty red color (thus the toenail polish) since spying the new Matrix at the Auto Show. Prettiest red I have ever seen.

Thanks for the feedback. I could use some silver shoes for a dress I just got, so I can try both. Red would be fun too - it isn''t like anyone will see them anyhow.

Out of curiosity: Are you having a bridal party. If so, what will they wear color wise?

SILVER!! I don''t think the red goes with the dress at all. The silver would pick up the beadwork on the bodice of the dress - that would look really lovely.

I was planning on having red roses. The bridesmaids have dresses from White House Black Market. Same ivory color, but with a black floral print on it with black shoes. If the dress didn''t have the detail around the top I think I''d do red no problem.

I did try these silver shoes on...These ore the same style as the red only in silver?
