There are so many on the air these days. Do you watch any? Be honest!

FI & I used to watch Bridezillas, but the season ended.

I don''t regularly watch any, but it seems like there are new ones coming out every month. Dish Network actually offers a WEDDING channel! Crazy!

Here''s a link that lists eighteen different shows (link ) This doesn''t even include all the cake-related shows out there, and the new TLC show "Four Brides" or WEtvs "My Fair Wedding with David Tutera"

I''m sort of past thinking these shows are entertaining... But what are your thoughts?

I watch them. I''m actually watching "Say Yes To The Dress" right now.

I''ve always loved watching them though...

SYTTD is what prompted me to write the post... I, admittedly, watched three (four?) episodes in a row this evening.

I may also DVR My Fair Wedding w. David Tutera. But I wouldn''t admit it if asked!

Lol Pils! I watched them all too. FI actually watched them with me and asked me "How many dresses did YOU look at?" to which I replied, "None in person. I bought my dress sight unseen, and didn''t try it on until it arrived." To which he said, "Uh, you''re crazy."

And he is SOOOOOO right.

I''m married but I still watch "Say Yes to the Dress". DH constantly says "We''re married now; can''t you stop watching this show?" Lol I only watch the others if I''m bored and there''s nothing else on.

I love SYTTD. I can''t watch Bridezillas. You know, the first season of that show was REALLY good. It just featured some NYC brides who had discriminating tastes. It was narrated by some monotone british guy. Last time I watched, it was that obnoxious "BRIIIIIIIIIDEZILLAS" chick. Ugh. Now it just seems like a bunch of low-class, pushy broads. It''s too irritating for me to watch.

I used to watch a couple of Canadian wedding shows on WEtv. There was one about the bride and groom''s budget. At the end they said how much over/under they were from their budget. Can''t remember what it was called... And there was another where the bride couldn''t fit into her dress, so they''d send in a personal trainer to whip her into shape in the months leading up to the wedding. My Fair Wedding is okay. You can get some good ideas from that show. If only my budget allowed for pin-spotting of individual centerpieces....

I watch a bunch, but some like "redneck wedding" for example, I cannot relate to whatsoever so that''s not my cup of tea. The ones that have to do with planning and dress buying I''m curious about.

My FI jokes that after the wedding I''ll be into self-help shows, but at least one show I think I''d still watch is "Say Yes to the Dress."

I agree with you Travel Goddess about Bridezillas and how it took such a drastic turn from the first season. It''s now unbearable, although I''m guilty of watching. But honestly I''ll be wincing all the way through it because those women are horrible. It seems to be like everything else on tv these days: excessive and extreme.

My Fair Wedding with David Tutera. That''s my new favourite. He''s AMAZING!! I wonder if those brides really do plan to have that stuff at their wedding before David swoops in and saves the day. All I know is, a wedding by him would be my dream come true.

Rich Bride, Poor Bride.

It is shown on Wedding TV, a sky channel here in the UK.

I also watch For Beter or For Worse. I''m not sure if it is American or Canadian. The couple sign over all planning to a team of their family and friends. They have a $5000 budget and one week. The dress, venue, flowers, EVERYTHING isd left to the team and the day is a total surprise to the couple.

I like SYTTD a lot. I''ve never seen MFW but it sounds like fun.

My husband wonders why I still watch these wedding shows now that our wedding is over. I really like Say Yes To The Dress and My Fair Wedding with David Tutera (I had never seen it before Thanksgiving but then they had a marathon of it on TV so I DVRed a bunch and really liked them). For me it''s just mindless, entertaining TV. And I like seeing all the wedding dresses and details!

My thoughts exactly. That first season, where it was more like a documentary was so good. Now its just way to "outrageous" (to put it nicely) for me.

I watch all the other wedding shows, although Platinum Weddings which I did an episode of once, definitely gives me false expectations of what my wedding will be lol. Also, I love My Fair Wedding, its my new favorite. I've worked with David before and helped with an episode of MFW once at one of my venues. And I will tell you, he is just as nice of a guy in real life as he is on TV. I adore him.

Platinum Weddings...

i love wedding shows. my faves are Say Yes to the Dress, My Fair Wedding is one of my new faves, Platinum Weddings, Whose Wedding is it Anyway?

i love my fair wedding!

Love Platinum Weddings!

I looooove Say Yes to the Dress. Debbie was my consultant when I was at Kleinfeld, and she was AMAZING.

I watch My Fair Wedding, and I like it for the most part, but I think David T is a little down sometimes on economies made by his brides. Not everyone can afford perfect everything.
