Good morning/afternoon all,
Just ran a 5k along the beach this morning - the weather is beautiful here! The race started at 7:30 am. Now I am drinking a protein smoothie made with my new bullet!
Kimberly,
Was it you that had dinner with some girlfriends and did not want to share what they were eating? Can you please tell me how you ended up handling this matter? I did like someone''s suggestion of fibbing and saying you had birthday cake earlier in the day.
Thanks,
Meredith
It was me and I was going to say that I had eaten a large lunch and just wanted some soup as opposed to sharing appetizers but that''s not how it worked out(I am not currently working so eating birthday cake at work would not have worked for me!). One of the ladies, who used to be a junk food queen, has made some big changes in regards to eating and exercising and so she started talking about that and I simply slipped in that i had checked out nutrition values for the restaurant and the tortilla soup was a great option at 350 calories. It actually turned into a great conversation about eating healthily and exercising (the other lady is pretty fit and eats in moderation so she is more understanding).
Situations like this can be not so fun as people always like to give their two cents re: your eating habits: "Oh, it''s just one night it''s not a big deal" or "you don''t need to lose weight/watch what you eat" etc. But it turned out to be just fine.
Good luck!!
