Well, I talked to my boyfriend...

about what our potential timelines would be. He had initiated a talk on April 21 to tell me that he sees us happily married with kids, but he didn''t tell me his timeline. So yesterday I casually brought it up and said, "It was wonderful hearing how you envision the future but I realized you didn''t tell me your potential timeline." He said he will be proposing by the end of THIS July!! Eek. Can you believe it? That''s like 2 months. I am sooo excited.

Isn''t it exciting!!!!! I''ve been promised before the end of the year- with a hint hint that I''m really going to like my birthday present (Aug.)... now he may throw me for a loop and end up with some awesome concert tickets or something like that.... Its soooooo hard to not talk about it! I find myself when I''m on the computer and he''s around just "browsing" by the website that I want my setting from. Today he clicked off of it and was joking around that he has NOOOO idea where to get it from now......

She wanted the reassurance of knowing it wasn''t going to be ''boy soon'' (as in 9 years from now), so she could relax. Usually when talk of timelines occurs, it isn''t QUITE as short as 2 months. She just lucked out. If she is disappointed about it being so soon, I think THAT would make me confused. Not the part where she wants reassurance that it''s happening.

I needed to know where he stood, because I wasn't willing to wait much longer. If he would have said a year, I would have moved on. Now I know we're on the same page, but you do sacrifice a tiny bit of the surprise aspect. But that's ok.

so the difference between your spending the remainder of your life with this guy - or walking away from him - is 10 months? Maybe you just used a year as an example. If he had said 2-3 years maybe?
