My feelings were right! At first, I wasn''t sure how he was going to get the ring up there without me knowing, but it all worked out!!!
It was a blustery day in New York City on March 21st, but we braved the elements to have what turned out to be the greatest day ever. Getting off the train in Penn Station, we stepped out onto 34th Street in front of Madison Square Garden, taking in the city, then hailing a cab and headed to 72nd and Central Park West, and we went right in to see the Imagine Monument at Strawberry Fields. We strolled around a little while, going to Bethesda Terrace, the Angel of the Waters Fountain, the Ampitheatre and Mall, and through Sheeps Meadow, towards Bow Bridge. I had been trying to get over to Bow Bridge the past two times to the city, but didn’t make it up that far. Jeremy and I walked along the path beside the Lake, checking out the people and scenery in the park. We walked up onto the bridge, got to the middle of it and were trying to peek over the sides into the water. Jeremy was fiddling with something in his pocket, and I didn’t really think anything of it - until he was down on one knee when I said "What are you doing?!?" and then I saw the ring box, which brought on a lot of crying and a little bit of hyperventilating while he simply said "Baby, will you marry me?" I was crying so much I could barely say yes - and then handed him the wrong hand! I quickly corrected it, and as soon as the ring was on my finger, I just tried to pull him up so I could kiss him and enjoy the moment. You’d think that in such a public place that someone would notice, with a few groups of people around us on the bridge, but no one did. It was our own private moment in such a public place, but that’s what was so special and beautiful about it. Absolute perfection. We went on to walk around the city, go to the Top of Rockefeller Center and admire the views, and then to Little Italy for an amazing, romantic, cozy dinner, and ended the day in Times Square.
Now, here are the specs:
Three stone custom, a little under 1.5 ct total weight, H color, VS1.
