Hey Everyone!

Looking for your input around the following two diamonds for an engagement ring for my girlfriend. Will be paired with a solitaire.

I like the ~7.1mm face of the 1.36 however am not sure about the inclusions affecting the eye cleanness of the diamond. Any input would be much appreciated!

The bigger one! It looks very clean to me.

I think it looks very clean too. The only thing I can see in the blown-up sparkle video is a dot right on the edge of the table
which I think would be really impossible to see at regular viewing distance.

1.36 would be my choice

Thanks everyone for the input. Under the Brilliance video of the 1.36. There are inclusions visible on the lower portion of the diamonds face. I wasn't sure if that would be visible to the eye. Tried to capture the view below.

I don't think that would be visible to the naked eye. It's a very nice diamond. I'd put it on hold asap and ask WF to look at it more closely for you.

Done :)

Any additional input is welcome!

1.36 for sure. I like the proportions. And as long as WF says it's eye clean, I would have no worries. Just cause you can see it in the video does not mean you'll see it IRL.

At a certain point, any differences on paper aren't gonna be noticeable to the naked eye. When that's the case, I'd either choose the least expensive option, or the biggest option

OP you can ask WF for some magnified photos for the inclusions and ask them if they are visible to naked eyes. As long as WF say it is clean to naked eyes and you are comfortable with the inclusions, you are good to go!

Appreciate it! Will be in contact with WF today and will ask about the diamond being eye clean and for additional photos.

I appreciate everyone's input here. The clear winner is the larger stone 13 to 0 in the poll. Liza has the diamond on hold for further inspection when she returns to the WF facility Thursday / Friday. The facility is closed until things open up in Houston due to the winter storm. Thank you all again!

Phew! Glad you were able to make a decision. Now try to relax until Thurs/Fri!

I am not an expert but there is no way you will see any of the inclusions on the VS2. The pics are so blown up and I still had a hard time seeing them - and I see everything (lol). I believe only one crystal was more predominant one - it was visible on the ASET and the videos. You will not see that in the real life, given it will be far smaller than the video and the stone will exhibit maximum sparkle. You made a good choice.

I'll agree with everyone else that replied already. Looks like you made the best choice of the two, OP. Good luck working through the setting options as well.

A WF VS2 is almost always a safe stone! I also would choose the larger one!

There is a clear consensus and I agree with everyone here; go for the 1.36ct ACA! It is a beautiful stone, and at only a slightly higher price it will be noticeably larger than the 1.23ct ACA. Can't wait to hear how you plan to set it!
