WF diamond & sapphire eternity wedding band

CrownHusband & I got hitched! Katie, Vera, Jamie, Tim, Joseph, & Leon at Whiteflash were wonderful to work with in having my diamond and sapphire wedding band made.

It''s a size 4.5 platinum ring, with approximately 0.60 ctw in both ACA diamonds and blue sapphires. The diamonds are ~2.0mm in diameter and the band is ~3.2mm wide. There are 7 sapphires and 7 diamonds.

The milgrain edge platinum band is by Herman Rotenberg Wedding Rings in NYC. CrownHusband''s wedding band was also from there, but he''s out at a meeting right now so I''ll take pictures of it when he gets back.

CrownHusband''s wedding band and my plain band are both engraved with our last name initials. We had fleur-de-lys stand in place of the missing letters in LOVE.

kcoursolle, I was really nervous about the sapphires but I think WF did an excellent job with the selection. I made it clear to Katie that I am picky about the sapphires - and they were just wonderful with accomodating my requests with photos, etc.

Harriet - I really want you to come swim at Asphalt Green! I''m having so much fun swimming there. I''m up to doing 25 yard laps - freestyle, breaststroke and backstroke. I''m totally addicted. Come on by! You''ll recognize me by my 2 wedding bands.

It is just lovely. Saphire and diamond combination has always been my favorite.
I really like the haxagonal shape around the saphires - how did you come up with that idea?

darling - I sent WF a few photos of alternating diamond and sapphire eternity bands. One was by BeverlyK, which I think has the same hexagon & marquise shapes. I think I also sent a photo from faycullen that looked similar. I first tried on something similar at an antique store. Then I tried on an all diamond version at Micheal C Fina in NY. I decided that the geometric shapes looked great with my engagement ring but that I couldn't pull off that many diamonds on one finger. So I decided to go with the sapphires!!

I looooooooove it. Although I had a lot of trouble deciding between rubies vs. sapphires. Is it horrible that I want a version with rubies too?
