I have a freshly polished, good weight semi mount in 14kt white gold. It was only set for about 6 months while I figured out what I wanted for my permanent setting.
It is a size 6,5 and its a 6 prong high setting. Tapered on the sizes. It has good weight to it and was not a cheap setting. It was purchased in the jewelers building in Boston and the stone was carefully removed to keep the integrity of the prongs intact. I paid $900 for the setting originally.
