Soo.. I havent updated in a while so let me do so first..
Well we''ve both been really busy lately with school and work and what not, so I havent been expecting a proposal at all.. Ive come to conclude its happening in december.. Well I had been thinking about his ring and what not, and thought that giving him a $1400 ring that he will be taking off for medical school and having the possibility of losing it just wasnt sitting to well with me... So i searched and found an identical one in titanium (still need to reasearch that though...they have some other metals that are identical too) and it was MUCH cheaper... SO I started looking at watches for him
Well he got really excited and I am almost positive Im going to put the extra money and save some up so I can buy him a Breitling.. so he has been kind of excited...
Well 2 weekends ago his dad and grandma came up to spend the day on Sunday... Well he had been wanting to tell him grandma about buying me a ring and stuff, and didnt want to tell her over the phone because she has bad hearing and just thought itd be nicer to tell her in person but hasnt had a chance to get down to where she and his parents live.. Well he went and got it out of the safe... and I was like well Im just going to stand in the bathroom because I wasnt sure how traditional she was, so didnt want her mad bcuz I knew or anything....Well Im standing there for like 5 minutes and he still hasnt said anything, and im going wtf! Finally I hear, Oh its soo pretty I didnt know you were engaged... So then he explained the story and I could come out of the bathroom... hahaha.. Well then she starts offering BF and his dad all of her jewelry.. and then she goes well you can just have it all to my BF for me...I thought it was soo cute... She just loves me.. Everyother GF that BF has had.. she doesnt call them by their right names or just ignores them.. but the minute she met me she was talking up a storm and never has stopped... They were even surprised when I got birthday and christmas cards from her So needless to say she seemed excited...OH and they made me put it on... I was like not nice to tease me!!!
WELL.. to my point.. I check the mail yesterday and we have a card from her... and I just figured it was one of her it was nice seeing you blah blah blah cards.. WELL BF opened it last night, and his mom was here, and it was an ENGAGEMENT CARD!!! It said Dear C and E, Congratulations and best wishes to you both on your Engagement Love Always, Gram... AND it has a sticky note on the other said that said: Hi, Impatiently waiting for an OFFICIAL DATE. You have the beautiful ring. Had to send this to you- Love Gram...
I ABOUT DIED!!! I couldnt believe it.. I just had the biggest smile on my face you couldnt believe... His mom was like crap we have been using the wrong direction, should have been getting gram to get him to get a move on it!! hahaha it was just the cutest thing, and this card is staying on our counter for FOREVER!!!
Also.. BF''s mom brought up their 1927 Flapper Dress that belonged to her grandmother I believe, and its just fantastic... BUT it has alot of damages that cant be fixed, so she wants/is letting me take it apart and use the swavorski crystals and beads off of it for my wedding and receptiong dress... Im soo happy its soo pretty.. I am going to attach some pics but they dont do it justice..and its heavy.. about 20lbs..
