For many of us, jewelry is a very personal purchase. It goes beyond just style or fashion. It goes beyond the price and the certificates. It is the bi-product of a truly intriguing story. It is the hero of a phase of life that we went through - good or bad. Easy or tough. What are some stories of your jewels?

Here's mine: My grandmother used to have an antique ruby pendant which she bequeathed to her son (and nothing to her daughter, my mother, who actually took care of her.) My mother really didn't mind it, but I felt bad that she left nothing to her daughter. IN any case, my son one day surprises me with a ruby pendant very similar in design to the one owned by my grandmother. It was the sweetest gesture and I cannot help smile thinking about my mother whenever I wear the pendant (it's only been twice in public but I have worn it a few times just walking around the house.)

I don't have the pic with me right now but it's very similar to the pendant attached here.
