Okay, I''m going to shamelessly rip off a topic in Newlyweds.

What are your BF''s hobbies/interests?

M is really into Ultimate Frisbee (in case you couldn''t tell from all of my posts about it, lol). He can play for hours, and would play every day if he could find games.
He also really likes to bike. He''ll go on bike rides and come back two hours and 20 something miles later.

I really don''t know that there''s any other hobbies that he''s really into. He''s tried rock climbing and disc golf, and those didn''t really stick. He obviously loves running with his dog, but he''s not insane about it. He''s not really into video games or movies, though he does get hooked on some TV shows and we''ll watch those and have mini-marathons. But really...that''s about it.

Homebrewing, playing hockey, motorcycling. Those are his top three, and he''s quite devoted to all of them. He also loves to cook, is active in Fantasy sports leagues, loves to watch and play soccer, and is an awesome dad to our dog.

First I just have to say, Ultimate frisbee is the best!! I play every week :-D But anyways...
J is very much into sports, loves to watch any sport on tv, loves to play most sports too. Baseball is his favorite (HUGE Cubs fan), also loves to play tennis and golf, water skiing, snowboarding, ultimate, hiking...loves it all. He''s also a huge nerd (which I love!). He''s an aerospace engineer so he''s really into space and rockets, and planes and things like that. Oh, and he loves guitar hero, but he doesn''t get to play as much as he''d like anymore since he just bought a house.

Do school and law blogs count as hobbies? If not he doesn''t have any

Once upon a time he used to ski and golf occasionally

SO is very into outdoors things. He loves to hunt (I currently am a lonely spinster on weekends, thank goodness for volunteering and the gym and my mom), fish, ride four wheelers, go to mud races, work on anything automotive related, build airboats (he sells, buys a hull, builds it, and sells again, usually for profit), hiking, camping, things like that. Those are his main hobbies.... besides eating... he loves food.

My "M''s" hobbies are bass fishing and listening to electronic music. I go fishing w/ him sometimes but mainly just to get some sun and peace and quiet.

Well BF goes through phases. A few month ago he was really back into his gaming then he wanted to take up golf again.....and now it''s his car. BF LOVES his car. He is very protective and last week RAN out of the shopping center to inspect for dammage because he saw some kid touching it. It gave me such a fright because I though somthing was really wrong. I have allowed him to spend money to re-inforce the body kit and he got new mag wheels and tires last week. He has some work to do on a crack in the frount bumper. And then I will have to put my foot down because he''s been talking about under car lights (!!!!!!!!!) and fitting a sub and somthing else under the two fround seats and re-doing the dash bord in carbon fibre. THIS MADNESS NEEDS TO STOP!

BF is OBSESSED with watching sports, anything that involves a ball, especially baseball, football, and basketball. I just happen to HATE those sports and can''t stand listening to them on TV

Oh yeah, he''s also really into Fantasy Football and Baseball. Ugh.

Auto Racing - he loves Formula 1 and loves to go cart (he is taking a break from that right now because he does not have a job and that is the most expensive of his hobbies)

Windsurfing

Woodworking - he now insists that I cannot buy any more wood furniture because he will make everything

One of our first conversations we had, he told me he was a simple man who knows what he likes - hunting (deer/turkey), football (Steelers - obsessed) and cars. Now he''s added another hobby to the top of the list... me! :-)

Cute!

That''s kinda how it is with us too...football (Cal Bears - crazy insane obssessed) and music. I think the BF just about had a heart attack when he first realized after we got together that he''d forgotten about the start of football season, and hadn''t scoured music blogs for hours upon hours since before we were together. I love it when he watches football though - he gets all riled up and it''s hot

Love it!! My bf does the same thing! The last Super Bowl was seriously one of the most stressful days of my life... Good thing it worked out in his favor!! This time... :)

I love that BF has his hobbies, but I''m glad he''s adjusted his priority list to include quality time with me and our families and puppies, going out to dinner, movie nights, decorating our new house and watching our latest favorite show Glee!! :)

We should really start a thread about all of the ladies hobbies too (BESIDES diamonds of course!)... :)

A has quite the green thumb. He loves to grow things...he''s told me if he really could, he''d love to be a farmer...but for now, since we don''t have a yard, he''s got a little "farm" in our spare bedroom that he''s raised from seeds--lots of herbs (basil, thyme, mint, chamomile, etc) in a mylar-walled box with grow lights. He''s rather good at it, and we''ve had tons of pesto this summer from all the basil! We also have a giant Aloe plant in the dining room. A also loves to bake! We have fresh bread in the house on a consistent basis, and on weekends when I do my long runs (I''m between half marathons right now) he''ll often make some sort of sweet breakfast goodie like coffee cake. Let''s just say that apparently the way to *my* heart is through my stomach.
30.gif
A also loves his car, but thanks to the fact that we only have a community parking lot and he has no place to work on it, I don''t have much to worry about with that right now...but heaven help me when we have our own driveway/carport/garage someday!

We both like ''outdoorsy'' things, and video games. He has a thing for military stuff, which is not my cup of tea I''ll admit, but if it makes him happy then what the heck!

S is into EVERYTHING! And none of his hobbies are inexpensive
14.gif

Sailing (and racing, he frequents the Key West Rendevous race from Tampabay area to Key West every year)
Wake Boarding
Wind Surfing
Power boating
Fishing
Spear fishing
Camping
Hiking
Rock Climbing
Scuba Diving
Shooting
Hunting
His Car
Electronics Nerd (our TV room is ridiculous, computers too) that's an engineer for you...
and lastly, and most expensively, flying. He has his private pilot's license.

ETA: I can only thank God he isn't into the regular sports! Football, basketball, etc. I hate them all, and so does he
9.gif

My BF has a lot of little hobbies here and there like cooking, golf, and etc. The main ones though are softball (he''s in a league and plays every week),watching sports (Go Pats!),Fantasy Sports, and when he wants to be a bit lazy his Xbox360 (only sports games though lol). So basically sports.
3.gif

lol he does have a lot of hobbies, or rather he enjoys many things...

body building (definitely the thing he does the most often), currently video games would be a close second, reading third, riding his motorcycle fourth.

others that make the list are camping, fishing, hiking, computers, cooking, playing sports, movies, sleeping (i''m fairly certain he has that down to an art form
25.gif
), going to breweries and wineries, and traveling

Golf! He goes almost every weekend with our dads and his BIL.
Xbox...which he''s likely playing right now.
3.gif

He''s given up on his motorcycle, so that''s now a former hobby.
He''s a total audiophile, so anything to do with music, stereos, TVs, etc. Loves it.

Food & wine are definitely up there. He also likes to play video games (usually Left 4 Dead or Unreal Tournament) with his friends at least once a week. We play tennis occasionally, but not as much as we should.

Cooking
Eating
Animal Crossing on Wii
Jazz
Music
Baseball
Playing guitar/bass

I love hearing him talk about his hobbies, he''s just a cutie when he''s excited about them!

Your SO too?

B is a computer engineer with his pilot''s license. (single & multi engine, VFR & IFR, & commercial)
Our theater room is amazing.
Down to only owning one airplane (okay, still 2).
He has to do his flight review and is gowing to get his sea plane rating at the same time.

His latest hobby is speaker building (as practice for furniture building).

He hopes to build a boat (52 ft. or larger) and maybe design & build his own airplane.

Next time he turns pale at the mention of a $4,700 ring I''ll have to add up the receipts for his latest project....

Let''s see...Bike riding, he''s going to commute through winter(here in alaska!)
Poker, he''s really gotten into poker lately, online and with friends.
Cooking, we don''t have jobs so cooking is a pretty nice hobby that I encourage.
Writing, he''s in a writing group and gets antsy if he hasn''t written in awhile.
Sleeping, he loves to sleep!

That''s not to say he doesn''t like video games, and movies, he loves watching movies.

His college''s football team (go Gators!), and his baby monster truck. The truck has a history to it. It''s an 83'', and he and a friend that is no longer alive built it together. When his friend passed away, the friend''s brother offered to sell the truck to him. Of course he couldn''t miss that opportunity. So it sat for a few years, and he just last year got it back on the road.

A is also into Ultimate frisbee.

He also loves, loves, loves anything to do with computer games and animation. He will play his Xbox 360 or playstation 3 for hours, and will sometime use his Wii ;0

Luckily, he is an animator so all computer games, consoles, DVD''s, and movie tickets are tax deductible.

He also really wants to work on animation at home, as in make his own games/mini movies, but finds it hard to make time for that in between playing computer games, playing ultimate, spending time with me and housework.

LOL--FI is into Formula 1 as well. I can understand the attraction--it''s kind of a cool sport. But yeah, cars are a big one that I totally forgot to mention.
