I''ve been religiously looking online lately and I go to the same websites and I find myself getting kinda bored with them (since I search too much). I usually go to theweddingchannel.com, brides.com, and of course theknot.com. I was just wondering if there are any other kind of "all purpose" websites that yall enjoy?

"Project Wedding" and "Manuel for the Brides" are both good

style me pretty, well wed ny, wedding bee, liweddings.com I can''t think of any more right now but these are my favs in addition to the ones you posted and the ones that kb posted.

I was going to say weddingbee too. The DIY stuff on there is AMAZING!!!!

Martha Stewart Weddings.

Love love love, and I can''t wait to actually use the site/magazines instead of just browsing.

I''ll echo ProjectWedding and WeddingBee - they were both great during my planning days!

Ugh, late night posting = embarrassing mistakes. I meant to write Manolo for the Brides (www.manolobrides.com).

Just wanted to say, thanks for the recommendations -- I hadn''t heard of wedding bee and some of the others. Now I can spend even more late nights secretly pre-planning...

weddingbee and I still peruse preownedweddingdresses.com and oncewed.com for designer gowns at better prices than retail. I''ve noticed on preownedweddingdresses that some wholesellers have been listing their stock of sample gowns there too.

Yea seriously! This could be dangerous.. I really only casually browsed theknot.com and never really bothered to look into any others..
Now I just may have to take a peek at all these!

Sorry it''s been a while! Thanks for the sites! they are awesome!!! I''ve never heard of them before!!

Hmm... I don''t often visit the above said sites...but I often visit my dream photographer''s blog (which he hasn''t updated since Jan.5

and he usually updates weekly) and then I google my dream venue site to find images, google dream color to find new ideas, google dream flowers to find them too. (I''ve got a HUGE collection of dream stuff.....lol!) I should check out those other sites more often though!

Happy you are going to hate me.... but I think this is the worst thing you can do while you are a LIW. It really makes the waiting that much more excrutiatingly long and painful. I kept a notebook and drew what I saw my day like, and I took down notes... but left all the fine details until we could actually start the wedding planning.

What I think is that by obsessing, it isnt healthy. Get a hobby other than this... and pour your time into that. Sometimes there are other factors w/ the future spouse, that they have to work through themselves... sometimes it is money, and sometimes there are personaly issues they have to conquer before they feel free to take that leap.

I am not perfect, but I was in agony, for almost 3 years. This would have killed me... and probably broken my spirit. I am just saying that when you are a LIW, sometimes you''ll look at the other stuff to distract you from the ring... but it is a slippery slope... because it can be all encompassing. I''d pick something that can develop you as a partner and as an individual, and work on that. So whenever you feel the urge, you can do the other thing....

HUGS!

This isn''t an all-encompassing website, but if you''re intrigued by the idea of a destination wedding at all, check out http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/ It''s a massive site (runs a bit slow sometimes, think Martha Stewart website slow), but has tons of info. It''s obviously designed for destination brides, but has lots of other info too. I''ve spent as much time on there as I have ps!

tlh,

I truly thank you for taking the time to write your opinions! That goes for everyone as well! I definitely dont hate you! I am currently a student so that takes up much of my time. But sometimes when I cant sleep or I have nothing much to do I google pictures, styles, dresses and such. So I am definitely not planning, just collecting. I guess I kinda used obsessing in the wrong context. I really like your idea of keeping a notebook though.

Thank you very much for your input! I truly thank everyone and appreciate anything and everything you ladies give!
