Hi! I saw this ring on LT. It looks nice and the seller is nice. But I'm having a tough time figuring out what it would look like at home, even with the videos. (I'm new to all this). How dark do you think the tourmaline would go in various lighting situations? How sparkly do you think the little diamonds would be? The seller said the setting is from Jewelryhoo. If you have a setting from them, how much do their melee diamonds sparkle? And any thoughts on the price? Thanks so much for your advice!! :) Here is the listing:

Looks pretty but I suspect it will be dark. Depends on where you'd like to wear it. Could be a lovely daytime ring. Price seems OK -- hard to get anything for much less than that, let alone something appealing.

It's a second re-sale so there must be a reason folks have no trouble parting with it...

I think it maybe a darker stone too, but it's pretty. It's not a bad price either. I don't think you could make it for that.

I will say I buy things on impulse and list them if I don't wear a lot. I don't think it being for sale a second time is s big deal. Lots of pieces take 3 plus times to get a home. Especially with Pricescope buyers- I think folks have bigger collections than normal and if something isn't worn, they list it.

I will assume the colour of the stone will be accurate if it is taken indoor under natural daylight. But it is a medium dark toned stone as described

It's a fair price for the setting alone. So you're not going to lose on that transaction.

Sadly I suspect the stone will be quite dark -- In low light situations (especially at night) you should expect it to emit flashes of colour as the light catches the facets instead of maintaining a nice even blue green colour across the entire face (which most of us would prefer.). Why dont you ask for some videos in different lighting conditions if you are serious about buying it?

Again for the price you effectively break even if the setting is as described (I could not have that setting made for that price).

Thank you so much everyone for your opinions and advice! I’m going to mull it over :wavey:
