Screen Shot 2018-11-04 at 11.00.34 AM.png So after an exhausting battle with an online ring company (I legally can't say the name now).. we ended up at the Robbinson Brothers in our PNW city. Everyone was so amazingly helpful here. I first had a ring that used the diamond from our first bad purchase in, but the diamond was so bright fluorescent and it just looked so bad with side diamonds are the blue was so noticeable. anyway, we bought a new diamond, which we both love. I finally got my set back and I wanted to share it with the group. What do you guys think?! It is a 1.51 ct. with gold with platinum prongs. I decided on the micro paved diamond for comfort and then hopefully later I can stack bands if I want. I am just being a paranoid person making sure its exactly right. I am 99% sure I love it. My only question is... does it look dated or is this a timeless ring set? Does the micro diamond down play the ring too much to really play up the center diamond? It is incredibly comfortable to wear. I do notice the Simon R ring buttons are slightly wider than the area where the stones are... is this to help weigh the ring bit so its sits upright? It kind of drove me crazy mostly aesthetically but now I am seeing its purpose. Ignore the hand tattoo (its being removed lol) and this ring will look so great once that thing is gone. so much for never getting married ;)

It looks pretty great - I think micropave is a relatively timeless look. If you want more feedback, ask the admins to move your thread to Show Me The Bling as this forum doesn’t get as much traffic

I think it looks lovely, and the dainty ness of the pave enhances rather than detract from your pretty diamond.

Beautiful! (BTW, I think I live near you. If you ever want to grab coffee or go browse sparklies, let me know!)

It’s gorgeous! I thought you were going to ask about the spider having a Diamond head. It just needs two cute little eyes.

It’s beautiful!

Perfectly classy. Absolutely love them ❤️

I don't think that will look dated any time soon! White gold/platinum is here to stay in rings ! Congratulations on your beautiful ring!

AW , Thank you all!!!!! Yes, spider is definitely going soon! LOL I am considering having the inside exposed white gold made just a bit thinner like their bands for 1 carat or less center stones. It does spin even with the extra .mm or whatever. Do you think it would even matter much? I think it would be happier with in the inside portion being thinner just so at least when it spins its not so noticeable of a size difference. Wow, picking out rings, diamonds and learning all about how things sit and so forth, has been a journey!

Sammamish. I'm in Bellevue & Redmond most days and Seattle every so often. My favorite local jeweler is in Bellevue. They are cool about browsing and things like picking a diamond at a time to have them make a bracelet or whatever. (Or will happily buy them all hand matched for you on a buying trip if you prefer.)

I also drink coffee/tea/wine and look and sparkly pictures if jewelry stores are temporarily banned...

Oh very nice! I am over in West Seattle... not too far! I actually went to Bellevue to a few jewelers before I landed at the jeweler downtown. What is your favorite in Bellevue? I drink coffee and tea as well and love a good little coffee shop. I will send you a PM.

I think it's beautiful and will be timeless.

Gorgeous ring and I too think this is a timeless choice! Love how thin the band is, it really makes the centre diamond pop

Aw, thanks everyone!! I have never had such a nice ring before— not really a ring type of girl. So it’s taking some getting use to. The height is a little high but; that’s to be expected with the carat size: it is a very good girdle ratio so. Do halo rings sit any lower or do they just appear that way because of the side supports? I do love my ring! Thanks again! Sometimes we just need reassurance esp when it’s a chunk of change- literally and figuratively speaking.

JB93EEA2C-6979-48D6-860B-F0A1797A2235.jpeg we tried to get it set as low as possible. Does this appear like a normal height for this style ring? Thanks! I just my jeweler but just want opinions of others and those who wear such rings everyday.
