What do you think of this ring?

i am wanting to upgrade my wifes ring....sorry i mean i have to upgrade my wifes ring and have been shown this design which i love! i want to get it right the first time as it is our special time.
please advise your thoughts on this.

It''s gorgeous and the band is breathtaking... however, I do feel that the setting is ALOT bulky around the center stone. It detracts from teh beauty of the diamond, IMHO.

Scratch that... the more I look at this the more I drool. It looks perfect!

That is a breathtaking setting! If you know she likes that style, then I think it''s awesome! I love it! I would have the prongs on the center stone done a little smaller maybe. The band looks so rich and romantic!

what size stone will you put in there? i think if the stone is too small it may get lost in there. but if it''s the right size, it will be very very pretty.

I agree. I think the stone should be a bit bigger, and the prongs a bit smaller, and then it would be perfect (for my tastes).

Can a female sales person try it on? - I would LOVE to see how it looks on a hand to get an idea of how it would look - it''s a bit hard to tell from the photo as it is.

I agree with some others in that I really love the setting and think it''s absolutely gorgeous with the exception of the prongs. Too much prong for my taste but other than that it''s a swooner!

What size is the stone shown in the photo?

The large prongs *could* work if the stone was significantly larger, but as they are now, they seem to overshadow the stone.

Can''t wait to see a handshot!
