I do not know how to appraise the colors of sapphires in Eric's website, or any website for this matter. That's why I am asking.
Am I having bad luck with sapphires or are they hard to find? I have looked at so many and finally came to a conclusion that the one I bought from Gary Braun has the color that is most appealing. It looks great in daytime, unfortunately, since it is violet-blue B5/B6 closer to B6 it has some inky quality with my evening light, but I have compared it with lots of other stones, at B&M stores, everywhere, under flattering lights... Did not find anything better. Unfortunately, the stone has many drawbacks. I bought a bigger one, probably could not do any better, and still can not find that only... Are they simply hard to find? Or is it my color preference?
