here is the veil slightly gathered with a comb.

my dress is ivory and very simple, so i thought this might be a good compliment. making it a bit more formal for a church ceremony and i think that it''s definately the kind of thing that i would pass along to my "daughter" someday...

it''s pretty!

thanks ladies! i think it''s so pretty and not too ornate or over the top.

albicocca: thanks for the compliment on my dress. i love it too! and i was going to repost it, but i feel like i''ve posted it a million different times already

I adore your dress, and think that veil would be gorgeous with it!

Can you please let me know where you found that? I''m having trouble finding a veil that I love, and I think you may have done that for me!

lauren: thanks for the compliment! your dress is definately one of my most favorites. it''s so elegant!

i have been searching all over of a lace veil and really wasn''t having much luck at all. most of the veils i was finding had a trim of about 3inches of lace all the way around the entire veil and that really wasn''t the look that i was going for. this is a belgium lace veil and i like how the pattern isn''t just a trim...my only hestitation in getting it (i love it soooo much) is the cost! it costs a bit of $200 which i happen to personally think is semi-outrageous for a veil. but, then i got to rationalizing

1) i got a ridiculous deal on my dress. really. it was unbelievably affordable; 2) this isn''t just some overpriced piece of plain nylon tulle (apparently a friend of mine paid about $200 for a plain veil from david''s bridal) but it''s something that is handmade and that i''ll pass along as kind of an heirloom.

what do you think? is it a ridiculous price?

oh, sorry the website is http://www.designsbykristen.com

she has been wonderful so far in answering all my questions.

Gorgeous detail! The back looks vintage. Definitely something you could pass on to the next generation.

I don''t think the veil price is outrageous, my veil was $150 and my headband was $100 they were perfect and completed my look so I didn''t mind spending it. Besides, it''s your wedding!!!

Lulu, that site is incredible! I find myself having to squelch the desire to buy the $575 Alencon lace viels that match the lace on my dress exactly. It''s beautiful!

I really don''t think $200 is too much when you consider that many veils out there are over $150 for less than stellar tulle. Just like me and my earrings, you can find the budget when you justify it to yourself enough, right?
