What is your favorite brand of nailpolish? And your favorit

Given that I have over 120 rings I make sure my hands are manicured at all times. I even just bought my own manicure set to avoid any nasty fungus encounters with my techs equipment.

Don't laugh, but my alltime favorite nail polish is by Joan Rivers in Moonglow--it's a pale mauve. Absolutely dreamy.
Chanel: Lilac Sky--slightly deeper than Moonglow. I have two Essies I like--NeoWhimsical {another pale mauve} and South of the Highway--a pinkish nude, very light. I just bought Revlon's Gray Suede which is an absolutely gorgeous shade of taupe-y beige with no yellow undertone and looks great on short nails.

How about you?

i love nailpolish-- but rarely paint my nails due to laziness. my favorite brands are OPI and Essie
favorite everyday staple:
Essie: cabi-o-lait (a pale, translucent pink-- very natural looking)
favorite new/trendy shade:
Sephora by OPI: metro chic (opaque dark smoke with a hint of purple--i know that it sounds weird but it's an AWESOME color and really goes great with any muted palette)
I also like to paint my nails black (OPI Black Onyx) with a fine silver glitter over it (OPI Happy Anniversary)-- it creates a very cool gunmetal gray!

My favorite brand is Orly and my favorite color is called cupcake. It is a medium pink. I like shades of pink and mauve but have silver, red, orange, purple and blue. Those shades are rarely used though.

OPI is my favourite. It lasts the longest, simple as that.

I am a sucker for darks, rarely go pale. So my current go to shades are

1. Lincoln Park after Midnight, a gorgeous deep, dark metallic purple.

2. Lincoln Park after Dark, again a deep dark purple, brown, burgundy in a cream finish.

3. Black Onyx, enough said!

4. Blue my Mind, a crazy bright metallic blue.

I rarely paint my fingernails but do give myself pedicures.


My absolute favorite is Revlon Iced spice (130) a medium color, I almost want to say terracotta but it's softer than that. It's just very natural, color, not too dark and not too light.
This summer I've also used Revlon opulent pink (904), which is either a soft shell pink or a medium (but still soft looking) pink depending on how many coats you you use.


I first paint the nails with "black radiance" nail protector with calcium.
Then the nail polish.
Then if I have time, Revlon color stay sealing shine. This first step fills in imperfections and prevents the polish from staining my nails. The last step makes the pedicure last longer.

I've tried a significant portion of drug store nail polishes, and Revlon works the best for me.

I am really strange because I really like to change up my toes alot, but I tend to keep my fingernails very neutral. I like both China Glaze and OPI.

For my toes, I stick to bright reds and pinks or sometimes taupes. My favorite OPI colors for toes are:

The Thrill of Brazil (Red)
Keys to My Karma (Red)
Pink Flamenco (Pink)
Charged Up Cherry (Pink)
Barefoot in Barcelona (Brownish/Taupe)

For my fingernails, I usually go for French Manicure if I am attending an event (I don't like the American manicure in Ivory for some reason) or a light pink for regular manicures:

Hearts & Tarts (Pink)
Rosy Future (Taupe)
I Pink I Love You (Pink)

But, I commented to one of my friends that I missed out on the whole Chanel Black Satin, Vamp craze and she went out this weekend and bought me the Chanel Khaki Collection during Fashion Night Out...so I am excited to try those now!

My favorite for my fingers is Essie's Starter Wife. It is the perfect pinky-nude (totally my nails, but better). I keep it in my car in case I stop in for a mani!

For my toes, I like OPI's You're Such a Kabuki Queen (a great pink) or Smokin' in Havana (a reddish-bronze), but I definitely play around with color much more than I do on my fingers.

Let me know which of the Khakis is your favourite. I picked up Khaki Vert as well as Steel on FNO. You might want to check out Steel, which is part of the new Chanel Soho collection and is like a shimmery version of Black Satin.

I'll have to check out Khaki Rose again. I had actually brought it home with me but returned it when is seemed too close to another colour I already had. Since we're doin' some enabling here, check out Chanel's Paradoxical. It's such a cool grey-purple. I think it's my favourite of the new colours this year.

I'm going to try Vert this weekend too. Let me know how you like it!

My favorite is actually the Debrah Lippmann shade called Bitches Brew. I like her pale pinks too. I haven't worn it much in a while just because of being busy in the summer, but now that it's (supposed to be) cooling down, I probably will.
