Has anyone noticed Stacy''s ring on that show? It looks like a halo ring to me. Very dainty and pretty.
Anyone have specs??

What about specs for Amber''s ring ? (Survivor)

I don''t know what I was reading, but it was a loong time ago and I read that she & her fiance broke up, was it an old episode you saw? Maybe something has changed since I read that, who knows!

I may have a small addiction to that show!!!

I have always wondered about her ring. It seem like it''s tasteful, keeping in line with her wardrobe!! Not too big, not too small. I would love a close up though...

Speaking of what not to wear, What''s the biggest fashion advice you have learned from that show? For me, I have learned to love to layer. Especially with a nice fitted cropped jacket. It totally changed my outfilts!

I have learned to lock and load the girls. I have also gained a love for argyle and nice shoes. I''ve learned SO much from this show. They should give me $5000 cause that is about what its cost me!

Did you guys watch the marathon on Sunday? I LOVE this show! I always get good ideas and I am so jealous of Stacy London! She looks awesome in everything!

I am always shocked at the before and afters! I sometimes want to start dressing like a pig, stop coloring my hair, and look to thrift stores for 99.9% of my waredrobe so someone will nominate me and I will get a brand new closet full of clothes!

I love this show too! I Tivo everything and it is my standard laundry folding show. I have hooked my kids; my 5 year old told me this morning that she had a dream that Stacy threw an old lady''s cane in the trash can.

I also have learned that I look better in fitted jackets, mid-rise jeans and higher heels (I have short legs and a very long torso). However... I am usually 1) chasing my kids around, 2)working from home, and/or 3) hoping to squeeze in a workout in between #1 and #2. As a result, I spend half my life in sweats. I figure that if I start my morning in a jogbra and exercise clothes, I''m halfway there! My husband has the ability to distinguish between my "good" sweats and the not-so-good ones but I think S&C would be appalled!

I was watching the marathon and trying to get a glimpse of the ring but she wasn''t wearing one. Does anyone remember her being pregnant?

I remember reading somewhere that she broke off her engagement a couple of years back so the shows with the ring must be old ones...

I''m glad to hear that I''m not alone in my obsession with S & C. I agree with you momothree that you certainly can''t be dressed up ALL THE TIME!! I always think that I can''t wear any of those oufits to the dog park or to clean my house etc. However, I used to go to the grocery store in sweats all the time, and now I think twice before I make that decision

I also subscribe to the idea now of purchasing fewer items that cost more money instead of lots of low end items. There is such a big difference between a pair of banana Repulbic pants and Old Navy. Shoes too. I''d rather have one expensive pair than 5 uncomfortable trendy ones. Now, It''s all about quality...

Yeah, to answer your question I''ve been watching what I buy and I make sure that
1. It "does something for me" - like the color - I look best in bright blues and pinks and black
2. To use more fitted jackets

3. I have great jeans and pants from ANN TAYLOR LOFT _ MARISA CUT - they are the ONLY ones that fit right
they are low waist and I like the ones w/ the stretch. some i look like 10-15 lbs lighter in them...

I bought a great pair of jeans from DReSS BARN - believe it or not! They look amazing . They''re called STEPHANIE jeans.
Amazing stretch and fit. Get lots of compliments.

As far as losing weight - watch your grams of sugar. like less than 5 grams per serving - so I''ll have 2 oreos instead of 10. It always works for me and I drop weight like ccrazy when watching sugar - and I still get to eat TACO BELL!

I live in NY and went to NYC to shop in Dec. and never see the shops they send people to. So i wrote them down and I compiled a list - I watch the bags when they hand it to them, etc. I hope to find their addresses and visit them one day.

As I sit here in my sweats (yet again), I must relay another anecdote. I was just bringing my kids home from school and the 5 year old was holding some old Happy Meal computer game-type thing with a foldover plastic cover. I buckled her into her booster, she picked the thing up to eye level and said "It''s time to watch the secret footage!" What am I doing to my kids?

By the way, I agree with you, SoCal, re: the fewer better clothes and I am definitely sticking to that. I make an effort only to buy things that flatter and are made well. I also have been into tailoring lately. I bought a dark khaki fitted jacket from Ann Taylor that fit great in the shoulders and was a great length but seemed a little boxy. It was super cheap -- triple marked down -- so I bought it and took it to the tailor, who made it fit perfectly. Also did that with a pair of pants (ooops, trousers) that fit great everywhere but gapped a little at the waist. Made a big difference!

JewelGal, my only food downfall is sugar. Otherwise, I eat super healthy -- lots of fruits, veggie, whole grains etc. The sweets just bring me down big time. Perhaps I should take a closer look at the numbers on the package and apply some sort of discipline to limiting myself...

momothree, you sound a lot like me. I have three kids and just hit the 4-0 and while I always was thin, things have sort of shifted. I went to a nutritionist and know what to eat, but sugar kills me too. I have a major sweet tooth. If you can make Passover dessert good you have talent, my hat is off to you! I wear my work out clothes so that if I find myself near the treadmill I have fewer excuses, but with three kids I am constantly running or waiting in the car for them to finish karate or music etc...I think I should invent a "while you are sitting in the car waiting for your kid" workout...I would be rich! Instead, I try to catch up on old issues of magazines and return phone calls...but you can only sit so much. What show is everyone talking about? I love tv but do not know it!

Diamondfan, I just went through the entire thread and realized that no one ever mentioned the name of "the show"! It''s "What Not To Wear," on TLC. There used to be a 30 minute version on BBC America, but I''m not sure if it''s still on the air.

I love it too! Fortunately, it''s been on a fair amount in the past couple of days, which is perfect since it''s hard for me to leave the couch.

B, thanks! I was thinking I was missing something but could not find it. Why are you on the couch?
