Flattering in what sense? Like…for fingers? Or flattering as in style?
To be honest, the graduated halo is a very trendy look and I think already looks a little dated. Sorry, this is my personal preference.
I think the other setting is much more elegant and will stand the test of time far better. I like it a lot more overall and it highlights the center stone more
The only graduated halo I’ve seen that I think is really elegant is this one from Erika Winters

I love the side stones version - to my eye it is flattering to both the center diamond and the finger. It is a timeless design that looks elegant and sparkle-fest-y. I would love it even more in rose gold vs. yellow gold.
I personally think the oval gets lost in the halo. With the other setting, the side stones complement the oval shape while still letting the oval be the star.
I’m coming to the conclusion that I can’t stand anything which doesn’t cover my finger from side to side. Am just about to have a ring re-shanked to twist it east west because I find the stone going down the middle of my finger just makes my fingers look chubby.
I personally think the oval gets lost in the halo. With the other setting, the side stones complement the oval shape while still letting the oval be the star.
I really like it with the side stones - makes a beautiful presentation. The halo changes the shape of the ring to be more marquise - I feel like the shape of the oval gets lost in it.
I like the side stone setting. However, I like the way the rose gold looks with your skin tone. Perhaps doing the side stone setting in rose gold would be pretty?
