If you had to choose one thing to receive in an OOT bag from the list below, what would it be?

Chocolate chip cookies
Brownies
Oatmeal Cookies
Sugar Cookies
Cupcakes

I like oatmeal cookies a lot. They are durable (unlike perhaps a cupcake - which might need to be treated delicately or even refrigerated? maybe? or not. i dunno). And they improve with a day or two of age!! Plus, they're hearty and comforting.

ETA: AND you can put chocolate chips in them!!!

SUGAR COOKIES!!!!!!!

*Nom Nom Nom*

They also keep very well for days. Can I have some too? Pwease?

ETA: My second fav would be choc chip cookies. Infact, I'm baking some RIGHT NOW!

Seriously. Now I really want to eat cookies. Or bake cookies.

(Or anything else to avoid studying...)

Brownies or cupcakes

I know it''s not an option, but I vote for chocolate chip oatmeal cookies!

I agree oatmeal choco chip or oatmeal raisin!!!!!! Yummy!

Considering that you will be baking these right before your wedding, I would suggest brownies or even cookies because they are the least labor intensive! I too am baking for my OOT guests with the help of my bm''s and I think that at 2 days before the big day, I might have such a long to do list it might be easiest to bake brownies and pop a batch in the oven knowing when they wil be done.

Brownies or oatmeal cookies! Nom nom nom.

Chocolate chip cookies with a "milk chug"

What do you like making the most? If all your friends tell you what fabulous cupcakes you make, that might make the most sense as a personal gift from you.

My bias, without knowing if you have a specialty, is cookies since they are easy to eat without making a mess/needing a glass of milk/water. Maybe I''m weird but i always seem to need a liquid to accompany cakes and brownies....of course ice cream works well for that too :)

BROWNIES! BROWNIES! BROWNIES! Brownies stay nice and moist and yummy and chewy for a few days. And I''m a choc-o-holic... Geeze, I''m surprised I don''t have any chocolate goodies planned for my wedding, actually...

Choc-chip oatmeal cookies OR Brownies

Thanks for the input ladies. I think maybe brownies AND choco oatmeal cookies could be good. What would you think about getting one of those little hermetically sealed milk boxes with it? Would that be weird? They don''t need to be refrigerated but they wouldn''t be cold.

I am on a chocolate chip cookies kick. I freaking

Not weird, IMO.

Okay, so I''m thinking brownies and chocolate chip oatmeal cookies with those milk things for the OOT bags. Both of which can me made a little bit before and stored with bread in tupperware.

And then I''m going to make cupcakes for the favors. We''re having an nontraditional chocolate torte for our wedding cake, so the cupcakes will give people a taste of traditional cake and will be pretty cheap to make. FI and I are thinking about doing the following flavors:

Red velvet with cream cheese frosting
Carrot cake with cream cheese frosting
Vanilla cake with strawberry frosting
and chocolate cake with hazelnut (probably nutella-based) chocolate frosting

We''re only having around 50 guests, so I could do a dozen of each flavor. We have two people who don''t eat wheat/gluten so 48 could be perfect!

I''ll probably put them in little Chinese takeout boxes with a tag that states what kind it is and "Late Night Snack!" on one side and "Thank You!" on the other...

Just make sure if you put nuts in the carrot cake or use Nutella you warn people about the nuts!! (But you have such an intimate guest list that you may know that no one''s allergic...)

I think I''m going to give M&Ms favors, and I feel like I have to warn about the "may contain peanuts" factor.

That''s one of the reasons I''m going to put the tag on the box telling what''s in each one. I don''t have any guests who are allergic to nuts, but several who just don''t like them. I personally LOVE walnuts in carrot cake, so I''m putting them in there. The non-nut folks can have red velvet or vanilla

I think to an extent you also just need to trust your guest to know if they''re allergic to nuts and that M&Ms can contain traces. Really, everyone I know who''s allergic knows every product on the market that they can and cannot have.

Oh, totally. I didn't mean I'm actually going to write "May Contain Peanuts" (although I realize that's what I said). I'm just going to put somewhere on the outside of the favor box that M&Ms are inside. From what I hear, some people can have allergic reaction from even touching nuts/peanuts, so I just want to be overly cautious. But I think it's totally sufficient to say on the outside that whatever it is has nuts.

ETA: Also my close friend who's allergic to nuts has just grown accustomed to not eating desserts at all that she hasn't made herself, because there can so often be traces of nuts in things -- so most allergic people probably take such precautions, or are at least aware that nuts can pop up unexpectedly.
