Exactly. Don’t plan to send it that’s why I’m here. Need some tips to even confirm what it is. LolJust because it's a ruby won't mean it isn't highly treated or it is valuable, so you have to figure out if it's worth it to spend the $$$ on a lab report.
It can be very pricey to have it fully tested for all treatment. A gemologist may only be able to see some treatment, but not all. A major lab can fully test it. If you don't care about all the treatment it could possibly have, and you only want to confirm it's a natural ruby, then a good colored stone gemologist could look at it. Just note that if it's lead glass filled, it could be damaged by any soap that has ammonia in it like dish soap.Exactly. Don’t plan to send it that’s why I’m here.
