I am having a little difficulty picking the colours that my groom and the groomsmen will wear. My dress is not white or ivory in colour. It''s called Pearl. You can''t really tell from these pics but it''s kind of silver (not really, but that is the only colour I can think to compare it too)

My BMs will be in dark purple but my FI refuses to wear a dark purple shirt. My bouquet will be these flowers and the BMs will be a cream/purple version of these. (I don''t know how to attach more than 1 pic at a time so here is the link to their flowers for the BMs- http://www.flowers.pacificcallas.com/purplecreamcallalilyflowers.htm)

The only thing that I can come up with is if the men wear white shirts, black pants, and have the dark calla lily bout. What other combo''s can you think of? Do you think that white shirts and khaki pants washes them out too much?

hmm...

Would you consider a grey shirt? Maybe a grey button down with short or long sleeves depending on your preference.

How about this one from the Gap? It seems lightweight...

We got our GM''s linen blend shirts from Old Navy and they are rolling up the sleeves to about 3 quarter lenght to look more casual...

But I am honestly not a fan of the white shirt and black pants "waiter uniform". I think black pants and a grey shirt with the bout you have in mind would really pop...but only if that is something YOU like...

Wow, that grey shirt would look amazing! Thanks WannaB.

You''re having a DW too, right? What are you doing for your photography?

I think charcoal gray pants would also look very nice with a white shirt. I am not a fan of black unless it is with a suit or khaki unless you are going very casual. What color/style ties are they wearing? That might make a difference, too. Will your FI wear a tie with purple in it?

We had a big fiasco with our original photography team that is better left for another thread...but the end deal is that due to the problems we had with the first photographer, we ended up with about a third of our photography budget gone before we started.

We posted an ad on craigslist and offered a free trip for a photographer and their assistant to the DR with us in exchange for entire wedding day of coverage and a trash the dress session. We asked that we receive a CD(s) with all high resolution images and we offered to pay separately for any editing and printing at a later date.

We received over 40 responses and were able to view everyone''s websites and portfolios. We met with three photographers and found one team that we felt like we had known for years. They had some amazing family and baby photos on their website and were looking to get into more artistic wedding photography. So we choose them.

I really feel like we still got to pick and choose from many and it will be great for their portfolio to expand into destination events. And we still came in under budget even after the mess with the first team!

oh, i wouldn''t go with the dark purple shirt either, i like the white shirt and grey pants, not a fan of the black pants unless it is with a grey shirt, also depends on what time of day you are getting married

sunset: black pants, grey shirt
morning: grey pants, white shirt

just suggestions of course

what about a purple tie for FI? maybe not a solid purple but some sort of pattern?

Grey would look fabulous with the purple.
