What style of pave won't scratch adjacent rings?

I've searched, and I've scrutinized pics, but sometimes you just need to ask the folks that know! I would like a pave band to wear with my new Toi et Moi. I don't want a mini chainsaw. From my research, looks like fishtail, bead set or bright set are the ways to go? Can anyone confirm or point me in a different direction?

I don't like channel bands, and don't want to wear a spacer.

Thanks in advance!

I'm pretty much confirming what you're saying.

I own a French Cut prong chewer :oops2: . Love the look, But it’s eating away at my ER prongs. i Don’t like the look with a spacer either.

Bright cut, I actually love it.

Ok I know you said you don’t like channel set bands BUT hear me out: what about something with French cuts or carré cut stones? Basically switch from round melée to step cuts.

I’ll see myself out. Lol

All depending on the way your toi et moi sits /overhangs / the height of the eternity band / width of ring metal to width of melee

Maybe having a built in bumper/rail to the sides of the eternity ring will be enough to prevent damage?
I don’t know if .5 mm placed low on each side would be enough, but don’t think putting that on a French pave band would make it look like a channel set?

It's worth a try!

Yeah, I think we are just in channel land at that point. Worth investigating though!

How about something like this?
It has built-in rails so that spacers are not required. It is not channel set. It was made with HPD's (now WolfCBI) luxe melee.

@winkqhat type of setting is this ring?

This was the ring with the rails I was thinking of. I don’t think it looks that much like a channel set - but I get tastes vary! :)

That is lovely! I think in person it might work just fine. Sometimes we blow things up and forget that they are wee in reality.

For me, function far outranks aesthetics.
Wearing a diamond that can scratch another diamond, or adjacent metal-only ring, is a hard no go.
I'd never wear more than one ring on a finger or a ring on an adjacent finger.

Rather, I'd put that money towards one single ring that ticks all my boxes.

Like Mick Jagger sings, "You can't always get what you want."
