I purchased 2 bands with the intent of wearing them as such. When I received them, I was blown away at the sparkle that reflects from the octagon cuts so much so that they overpower my other rings. Some of the diamonds are loose in their settings and I am surprised the stones have no visible girdle damage based on how they were set. One of the rings has the date of 1941 and a person’s name. I am not sure if the rings are actually antique or was inscribed as a remembrance of someone special. At least one of the diamonds have 6 numbers inscribed on the girdle but it’s not GIA or EGL. Maybe a branded cut?

I do have a direction of a necklace decided but there are so many choices! Bar necklace, Fringe necklace, set them on links, etc. In collaborating with Amy at David Klass, she recommended to use prongs (versus my usual bezel set) for the best light return. Since they are .10 pointers I will probably frame them with metal. I love references to antique designs with a modern spin. IMG_8283.jpegIMG_8284.jpeg

Do any PS’ers have pros and cons they can share on a bar or fringe necklace? I am a sliding pendant type but the bar could be made to move on a chain.

Below are some of the inspo photos I have been collecting:

I like all these options. What is missing from your current necklace collection? A pendant or a station style?

I like the links too. Those diamonds need to be able to move on the skin and sparkle as they move!

I love the oblong link/diamond station chain (last picture!) I think it will be the most versatile - can be worn alone or layered with other pieces, casual or dressed up.

Thank you all for your replies, it was truly helpful to help me make a decision.
