Here she is! My lovely new transitional cut diamond ring. I wasn''t sure at first if it was transitional or european, as my appraiser said european, but I''m pretty sure it''s transitional.

Here are the specs:

.73ct F/VS2 Center
.05ct F/VS2 Each side
18k white gold

You''ll have to forgive me as it was 8 degrees outside so my hands were freezing!

It holds its own next to my 1ct solitaire. I plan to have the ring sized so I can wear it as a RHR

it''s gor-goeous!!! I love the detail on the top of the shank...so unique and pretty!!!

On a side note, just by your avatar, my Skeeter and your doggie look like they could be cousins!!! Skeeter is a chihuahua/potluck mix (probably doxie)...

I love the setting too. It is gorgeous!!!!!

Oh it''s lovely! What a beautiful RHR that will make!

That''s lovely! 1930s era? It reminds me of my grandmother''s original e-ring from 1934, which I''m lucky enough to have.

Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous!!!

Wow, step away for a bit and look at all the responses! Thanks for all of the kind words! I adore the setting myself... it''s a lower profile which I like to have on my right hand, since I''m right-handed.

Hopefully there will be more sun tomorrow and I''ll try to take a few more pics - too bad there are no flowers. We''re expecting a lovely 10 below again tonight!

Upgradeable - DITTO! I really love your most recent acquisition. I think the stones in our rings are about the same size? I remember watching that auction and was delighted to see a PS''r won it!!

Gossamer - your skeeter is a cutie! Not sure how related my Bee would be - he''s lab/german shorthair! Gotta love those black and white cuties!

HollyS - I''m not certain of the era - I''m guessing more like 40''s just based on it being transitional. I love pieces with history - do you have any pics posted of your Grandmother''s ering? I''d love to see them!

Stunning ring! It looks great.

Love it!

The sun is out so I nabbed just a few more shots for those interested.

My pics from yesterday weren''t downsized right so they aren''t the best quality. These should be better.

Love the fat arrows!

Oh my gosh! I''m sorry they are so big now!!! I don''t know what I did! Can an admin maybe resize them a smidge? Oops.

I''m what is derisively known on PS as a teaser.

I still don''t own a good camera; but boy, when we get one, I''ve got lots of good stuff to show off! I''ve got both my grandmother''s rings, my mom''s w-band, a Victorian OMC ring that was my mom''s, a great-aunt''s e-ring, my Tacori e-ring, my OGI eternity band, my Amy Levine diamond band, a Diana Heimann sapphire/diamond band, an OGI ruby/diamond band, my aqua pear halo, my smokey quartz cushiion halo, my green step-cut amethyst set Cathy Waterman style . . . . . let me think . . . . . and I''ve got some older stuff I don''t wear at all anymore.

See -- I''m nothing but a tease! The DH was going to put money his mom gave him for Christmas toward a digital camera; we''ve just been too busy to go shopping yet.
