When do WF, BG, GOG, etc get new diamond shipments?

I have yet to find the perfect stone, but I'm getting kind of tired just constantly searching for the same specs at each of these dealers only to see the same stones pop up.

I was just wondering if anyone had an idea as to when they each receive new shipments? Or how you all went about searching for your diamonds?

I am in touch with reps of course and they all know my situation, so is my best bet to wait for one of them to reach out to me?

It depends.

But you raise an interesting point. Perhaps PS could add a save search or search alert email feature? That way, you could select specs, a vendor, labs, etc, then have PS send you an email when new stock comes in-house (with virtual selection as well, it would probably get too confusing).

I would love if PS or one of the vendors added a feature like this. Or perhaps they could note what date the diamond was added to the database?

Interesting, I would have thought they had regular additions to their stocks, especially at such a time of the year (they must be selling a lot these days?)...

Just call and ask.

Probably not adding in new stock for accounting purposes.

At least with GOG's diamond search, you can bookmark the search result page.

For example, if your criteria are... cushion or princess, 1+ carat, D-G color, VS1+ clarity, under $10,000... opening the bookmarked will re-do the same search instantly.

Anonymous you were definately like me when I was shopping around. The stone I picked was released within two days of my search or that exact day. They say they add stones daily but from the specs that i was looking at they new stones popped up around 3 months with 4-5 new stones each time. But this pattern was only seen when searching JA inventory.

I was thinking about this a little more, and while I don't really have much to add, I, again, want to echo how nice an email alert system would be.

Case in point: I'm looking for a Round Brilliant diamond within the .80 - .90 carat range (my ring size, luckily, is 3.5/3.75). It's especially difficult to find nice diamonds in the .84-.89 range, which would be my preference. If I could set up my parameters and get notified whenever a diamond within those parameters was added, well, my life would be much easier. I think my boyfriend would enjoy not constantly seeing me scouring PS, GOG, WF, JA, and BGD all the time. Poor guy. I stress him out.

Then again, it may take all the fun out of obsessively diamond searching all day!

Yeah, it would be nice.

I'm sure there's reasons for it though that benefit the business?
