Okay, so I tried on my gown today and got to try veils on with it so I know what would look nice and am excited about finding the right person to make what I want :) But the wedding is 13 wks away.............should I wait? Should I already have it? I presume storage consists of hanging it in a closet in some protective plastic, right? If so, then storage won''t be a problem with the kitties in the house.

Also, one more time, can anyone who ordered thiers online give a recommendation?

Thank you!!!

I bought mine from ebay when I bought the dress. I don''t think the seller is a normal veil seller though. She just happened to have some at the time. I''ve heard good things about veils by lana and ocaseny designs on the knot though. I believe veils by lana is an ebay seller and ocaseney has their own site, but I could be wrong.

I bought mine online from occaseny designs (spelling??)
and had fabulous luck.
I was not going to pay $150 at the bridal shop for a single tier fingertip length veil.

I got the one I wanted, for about $35

I know they will work with you also, if you are not sure what it is that you want.

I would start looking now, no sense waiting if you want to get it crossed off your list!

Ok, great! Thank you for the advice and recommendations. I figured I wasn''t too far away to start the process but I wanted to check. I was looking thru ocaseney last night so probably will go thru them. I may also just pick one up on ebay w/o the custom order process if they have one close to what I want. I am only wearing it for the ceremony so I don''t need to be spending that much on it. However, I seem to have many "requirements". Funny...I started out not even wanting one.

I now want a 2-tier, fingertip length, 54" wide (very sheer), white, cascading and rounded (almost angel cut) in the back, with seed and bugle (sp?) beads as the edging. I also would LOVE an organza veil like JCJD had but we''ll see about costs on that one :)

I bought mine the same time I bought the dress. We stored it in a white pillow case. They pressed it (with the dress) before the wedding.

I think it is a good idea to go ahead and start the process. I had a friend who wanted her veil made, and the people who made it for her, got mixed up and sent her the wrong veil. Soooo, she had to send it back and wait for them to correct the error. Luckily, she had ordered hers early, and there was time to get things set straight. The correct veil came in the week before the wedding.

It is most likely that you won''t have any problems, but if you do, it''s btter to have time to sort them out.

I bought mine on ebay about 2 months ago - I haven''t even started looking for the dress yet! Wedding in 2008...

It cost me a fairly hefty sum, but as antique lace veils go it was a bargain and it''s something I hope to pass on to my descendants.

There are loads of online places that will make them to order for you - or ebay also have lots of new, modern veils for sale
