Where can I get a Vera Wang sample? Found my dream dress!

I found my dream dress but it''s from the Vera Wang Luxe collection so I was hoping to find it as a sample. I''ve been waiting and waiting for the Vera Wang sample sale but it''s way past its usual time during the summer so now I''m a bit worried.

FacetFire - I don''t know if you''ll read this, but it''s actually the dress that appeared in your dress photos, hanging behind you (the mermaid tiered one rather than the fuller one). You can see almost all of it in the photo of the back of your dress. Since you mentioned that a lot of the dresses in the store were samples for sale, would you mind sharing the name of the salon where you got it?

And if anyone else has any information, I''d really really appreciate it! I''ve held out for many months and am now less than 4 months to my wedding. I literally need to order in the next 2 weeks if I don''t get a sample - ack! If I don''t find it, I do have a backup that I can order but it''s so far from "the one"

I don''t know where you can get a sample exactly, but I had a friend who bought hers when the new line came out, and she got it for less than $1000. She was in the right place at the right time because they had just made reductions to the dresses from previous collections. She found it in Mississippi. Keep checking around at dress shops in your area.

Can you post a photo? It sounds a lot like a sample I saw when I bought my sample dress, however, there are a lot of dresses out there so I might be wrong. I actually tried it on and made me look too much like J-Lo for my liking!!

I'm not sure which dress you mean, but there are some second hand vera's here. It might be worth checking out local trunk shows too. Sample sales tend to be in July, so it might not be too late!

Hi CK, I actually bought a Vera Wang dress at a sample sale - you can read my story if you click dress.

The last I heard was that FacetFire''s dress was for sale at preownedweddingdresses.com. I believe she found something else she liked so, maybe you could even buy it from her! Also, the website contains other Vera Wang dresses for sale if you don''t want to be full price.

Vera Wang''s sample sale is once a year, usually in December in NYC. That''s where I bought mine. A friend of mine works for Vera Wang so she hooked me up. I still ended up paying a lot for the dress, but luckily my friend got me a discount.

I found my sample dress as Saks Jandel in Washington, DC. Their phone number is 202-337-4200. It couldn''t hurt to give them a call and ask if they still have their sample of that gown. Hope that helps!

I thought she started having one in the summer too. I was hoping to go to that one because it would still give me plenty of time to look for another dress if I didn''t find the "one" there.

I know they had that dress at Bergdorf Goodman in NYC as well and they have bi-annual sample sales in their bridal salon.
