Where to buy a simple platinum cable chain?

Hi, looking for some vendor/site recommendations on where to find a simple but sturdy cable or paper clip platinum chain to suspend some charms.

An example:


For example, Tiffany’s sell a 16 inch platinum chain for $560 but that’s a bit pricy IMHO (I had a Tiffany platinum cross necklace years ago and remember the platinum chain to be fine but nothing special). I looked up specs of the Tiffany chain online: 1.6 mm, 2.6 grams, so looking for something at minimum this weight/mm caliber.

Also, if I were to wear a single charm, is it better to affix the charm to one loop of the chain:

Which hangs better in your opinion? I prefer less of a V shaped silhouette and a more U shaped silhouette to the chain if possible when bearing the weight of a single charm.
