where to buy second hand jewelry

hello to all board members. im looking to buy second hand colored gemstone jewelry. im located in NY and would like some guidance on where to look for them.
Pawn shops and vintage shops is already on the list. are there any other forums or websites that specifically sells colored gemstone second hand. focusing on the higher quality goods that would require grading from reputable labs such as AGL, GUBlEN and SSEF. not commercial goods.

I'm puzzled. You're in the trade and looking for Gubelin- and SSEF-quality goods and you: a) are asking us riffraff for guidance; and b) already have pawn shops on the list. I think there are some non sequiturs here. I assume you know about eBay -- there are many high-volume vendors who sell mostly junk and lots of old-"style" pieces (not honestly described as such) but there are a few finds to be had.

So this is a "How can I make money being a middleman?" question? Slowly and erratically until you establish an outstanding reputation. Gems are a lot like pens and watches and knives -- the world has gotten smaller so there are almost no underappreciated treasures waiting to be uncovered at flea markets. You will have near-infinite competition in NY (NYC?) but you are close to the major US graders (GIA and AGL) so it's a little unexpected that you emphasize mostly the Swiss ones. And keep in mind that I'm the dumb amateur you are hoping to sell to (i.e., someone who knows enough to care about Gubelin or SSEF).
