We''re working on our seating chart tonight, and I can''t find anything online about this. We will be feeding two photographers and our DJ at our wedding, and it will be the same meals as the guests. Our tables fit 10 people at each one, and right now the only open space we have is at the table where FI''s aunt, uncle, cousin and step-grandma will be sitting. It seems really odd to have our photographers and DJ eat with them, but I can''t think of any other solution.
What did everybody else do about this? Any advice to offer? Thanks so much!

Call your venue-most have places for vendors to eat. You shouldn''t have to seat them at your tables.

Ditto.

I felt guilty at first, but it ends up being good that the didn''t sit with the guests cuz they jump up and down so much grabbing photos etc.

My photogs just requested that they were in the same room or an adjacent room so they wouldn''t miss anything (seemed reasonable!) so I''d just keep this in mind.

I''m currently venue hunting, and it''s true, most places have a nearby vendor room where they can eat. Many places also have vendor meals that you can serve them as well.

We had ours sit together at a smaller table in the corner of the room.

Thanks for your replies. I called the coordinator at my venue and she said they usually eat wherever they can grab a seat, often on the patio, or an open table. I guess we''ll just leave that up to them.

The DJ will always eat at the place his equipment is set up.
The photogs will often join him or they will just grab an open seat.
I liked it best when there was a small table set aside because it allowed us to relax and unwind for a few minutes.
When sitting with guests you have to be on duty and it isn't a real break.

So if you want to be real nice arrange a small table and make sure the DJ has enough room.
