Where would one find small, matching OECs?

Hello!

I have a loose .56 D SI2 OEC that I’ve been humming and hawing over for the last month, trying to decide what to do.

I am thinking about doing a 3 stone, with small 4mm or .25 OECs on either side.

Where would I be able to find a (generally) matching pair of OECs this small?

there are other insta vendors that score random stones, not sure what their policies are for sourcing...i'd start w/ the above first

High color OECs in any color are hard to come by - so be prepared for a longer hunt, especially for a well-matched pairs

EDIT - i lucked out with my ~0.25 carat sides with an E center, they are uncerted but one is clearly (to my eyes) an F and the other a G - but I actually don't mind the difference but i can perceive crazy small differences in color so it depends on how sensitive you are...bc they are so much smaller than the 1.3 center, they appear "brighter" to me bc the facets are scaled down to such a small size, so the color difference balances out...id be more bothered by a lower colored, large center with brighter sides

Good point, that was my concern too. My other option is to make the stone into a art-deco style target ring with a halo. That way i could avoid the trouble of finding matching sides.... and wait to do the 3 stone with lower color stones. Decisions decisions!!! I love your ring... it’s just to die for!

I'd say if you have your heart set on a 3-stone, it can't hurt to ask around first! Adam has a massive inventory, so it is entirely possible.

I do looooove target rings - are you thinking something like a calibrated sapphire halo, or something like that? I dream of a french cut diamond target halo ring one day myself...so I get the appeal!

I wanted a calibre sapphire halo, but it’s a little out of my price range right now. Instead I’m looking to do something with a diamond melee like the photo below. I looooooove the octagon halo, but am not sure if my .57 (spreads like a .70) is too small for something like this

I love this style - honestly I totally get it - custom, calibrated halos cost A LOT....my dreams of a french cut diamond one may be...deferred for a while!

It’s sooooo frustrating because I’ve combed their site and all their beautiful target rings are JUST a tad too big or a TEENY bit too small!!!

Ahh that is frustrating that you are in between sizes. Maybe best bet is to email them and see what they can do. They can make a setting that fits your stone? I mean their settings are very affordable. If I had a loose stone I would want one of their settings hehehe.
