Hi! I've been trying to pick a blue lab-grown pear shaped diamond for my girlfriend's engagement ring. Unfortunately, there are not a lot options and stores where I live. I found one though that at least has their diamonds listed along with their certificates. They don't have them in the store though, so I can only check online.

Diamond 1 - Loupe360
Diamond 2 - Loupe360
Diamond 3 - Loupe360 (360 not working)

You can see 360s of Diamonds 1 and 2. The 360s for Diamonds 3-5 aren't working, so I attached their images.
I'm leaning towards Diamond 2 as I like how its shade of blue looks in the 360 and also because it's the largest. Its LW ratio is more elongated than I'd prefer, though maybe it's not that big of a deal since its width is still the largest among these. I'm not sure if its bowtie is that bad too, since the others have bowties too except maybe Diamond 1? Also, I actually like how Diamond 1 looks in the 360 the most. I'm a bit wary of buying any of Diamonds 3-5 since their 360s aren't working.

I'm still a beginner and I've made some research, but it seems all of their proportions are mostly great? I've been using this as a guide.

Let me know your thoughts. I'd appreciate any help. Thank you! :)

Can’t really select fancy cuts without videos. Based on the videos 2 looks much better cut than 1. 1 looks leaky and tilt windows pop up with the slightest tilt.

Am having a hard time choosing among them but did not want to leave you posting without some advice. :) So I vote for cheapest one that still looks good to your eye.

For my hand I'd choose 1.

@0-0-0 thanks for the insight! So just to clarify, the 1.01 ct is the leaky one, and the 1.14 ct should be good enough, right? Should I also be expecting some minor noticeable or obvious defects that are visible to the naked eye with the 1.14 ct?

@oncrutchesrightnow thanks for your advice! I've narrowed down my choices!

@Ibrakeforpossums thanks for your suggestion! What is something about the 1.01 ct that made you choose it over the others?

Yes I think the 1.01 looks a bit leaky with pretty big tilt windows. It doesn’t look like 1.14 will have a dark bow tie in person, but due to the design of the cut the bow tie area will appear less blue than the top and bottom of the pear. If you want to avoid a bow tie completely, see if you can find one that’s cut more like the 1.01 minus the big tilt windows.

For example

@0-0-0 thank you once again for the insight! And thanks for linking that diamond too! I'll see if I can get that one or something similar to that.

I'd like to learn how to inspect cuts that causes that. :)
When you say that the bow tie area will appear less blue due to the design of the cut, do you mean the LW ratio being more elongated? And when you say to find a cut more like the 1.01 and your example, to avoid a bow tie, do you mean the LW ratio being in the more standard 1.5 - 1.6 range?

Or do you mean a different part / spec of the cut? Sorry, I'm still trying to learn about cuts, but I really appreciate your help! :)

I liked the consistent facet pattern, no mush at the tip and no bow-tie. Not an expert but I found it very appeaing. I could not see the tilt windows but that doesn't mean it's not there.

The faceting designs on the pavilions are completely different. The 1.01 and 0.95 have fatter, shallower pavilions. IGI calls the 1.01 and 0.95 pear modified brilliant on the reports.
