Which diamond solitaire pendant do you think would look best in WG with a MRB diamond between 0.3-0.5ct? All prices are for 18k WG.

Links:
WF Four Prong Basket ($350, $275 for 14k WG)
WF Four Corners ($450)
WF Three Prong Martini ($475)

Which would you choose? Are the more expensive options 'worth' the extra price? If you have any of these pendants already, I would love to hear your about your experience (does it flip a lot, is it balanced, anything you would change or do differently).

I have a .24 carat BGD pendant in the 4 prong basket that I still just adore! (It has a lot of sparkle for such a little stone!)

Earlier this year, I bought a .45 carat ACA and set in the martini setting because I wanted something a little different. I never loved it. It was fixed and I just could never seem to get it "situated." It didn't flip, but kind of rode up my neck a little. I thought I would get used to it, but I just didn't. (Lots of people love the martini setting, though, and I just may have not been used to a fixed setting like that.)

The clasp broke about a month ago and I took that as a sign that I should get it reset, which I did, into a 6 prong basket pendant. I just got it back last week and I sooooo love it! I was afraid the six prongs might overwhelm such a small stone, but I really do like it.

I hope this helps! I'm sure whatever setting you choose will be amazing!

i have WF studs in 3-prong martini and love them. Similarly, I have a BGD sent in a 3-prong martini and am so thrilled with it.
I love how the 3-prong really emphasizes the round shape of a RB.
Also, it makes it all about the diamond. The prongs literally fade to the background and it seems as though the diamonds are suspended in air.
I have had 4-prong solitaires pendants and studs in the past but I don’t care for the square look it has, and I think the 4 prongs make you notice the prongs and it is distracting to me.

Would you be able to post a few pictures of that size around your neck? I really love the BGD pendants but unfortunately, it doesn't look like it's going to work out - not a lot of options in the diamond size I'm looking for, and the ones that are my size target, are a bit out of budget.

Of course! I'll be happy to! It may be this evening before I can get some decent photos together, but I will definitely post some here so you can compare. I'd really like you to be able to see the four prong basket (with the .24) vs the six prong one with the .45. I know I also have some on my phone from when it was in the martini, so it will give you a good idea of what both look like. :mrgreen2:

That would be absolutely INCREDIBLE, I can't thank you enough! I'd love to see the six prong with .45 also...love that look on ERs and plan to get one for the future Mrs. when the time comes in the next few months!

I have the WF three-prong martini pendant and I love it. I agree with headlight, it makes it look like the diamond is floating.

I think you should really decide if you want a pendant where the stone is fixed on the chain, or one that slides along the chain. I have both styles and I prefer one that slides along the chain. My pendant that has a fixed stone means I'm always having to adjust the stone so it sits in the right spot, because as someone mentioned, it does seem to creep up the side of my neck a bit. That being said, I do love the look of the stone seeming to float. If you don't think adjusting where the stone sits fairly frequently then go for the look you like best but if the adjusting will bother you, like it does me, go for a style where the pendant slides along the chain.

Oh, I take the worst diamond pictures! You would think my time on Pricescope would have helped me improve, but nope!

I do hope these help! I really did want to love that martini pendant. It was GORGEOUS and contemporary-looking when it was positioned properly. I just had no luck keeping it there! (My neck is probably wonky! Haha)

The stone is a .45 carat ACA K VS2. The smaller stone in the 4 prong is a .24 BGD J VS2. The six prongs do give it a rounded effect, and I really do love it in this setting ans see myself wearing this for a long, long time!

I can't wait to see what you pick!

ETA: The first two pics are in the martini setting...

Wow! Your pendants are all absolutely stunning! I'm in awe over all of them! Did you get an extender added to any of these? They look longer than the standard 16"

Oh, thank you so much! The martini setting was actually 17 inches. (You have a good eye!) The rest are just standard 16 inch chains.

I know my stones are small, but the cut, I think, really DOES make a difference. To be honest, the .45 doesn't "bling" that much more than the .24. It doesn't look twice as big. They both sparkle like MAD.

I'm not saying you need an ACA or BGD, specifically, but get the absolute best cut stone you can within your budget. It'll be BEAUTIFUL!

I dont like one of them - looks like a rabbit face with 2 ears. I love the martini setting but hates that it is fixed. But since it is fixed, it will not flip right? I hate the pendant flipping on me. The last one looks traditional and classic.

I will still choose martini.

You’ve given me a lot to consider. Thank you so much! Will report back once I’ve gotten in touch with the vendors!
