Hello
I have narrowed down to two diamond tennis bracelets to choose from. This will be my first diamond tennis bracelet. One is a 2 prong 6 ct and the other is a 4 prong 8 ct. which do you think looks best and why ? I am so torn between the more traditional look of the 4 prong but also love seeing more of the round diamond in the two prong, I feel like the 4 prong will be much more secure but don’t know if anyone can testify to having a 2 prong and it being ok. From a durability standpoint, I’d do the 4 prong. Have you looked at 3 prong settings?

I have but for the same size they’re out of my price range. Thank you for the input

Though like the look of 2 prongs as it appears more round, but if you are going to wear it daily then 4 prongs will be more durable, and the bigger stone the better of course. My vote is a 3 prong 8ct is #1 if you can get it, 4 prong #2, then 2 prong last.

The bigger one bc it’s bigger

Welcome to PS!

No to 2-prong regardless of the total weight of the diamonds for concerns about security.

Personally, I would bezel-set everything if I can.

And yes to bigger the better! :lol-2:

If I were to get another tennis bracelet, it will be with 6mm LGDs bezel-set.

Thank you everyone for your thoughtful replies so far ! It sounds like there’s some definite concern about a 2 prong holding up. I am a stay at home mom to a toddler so I often wear no jewelry during the week and just on weekends or date nights so I likely would not be wearing the bracelet all day everyday with either setting. Does knowing that change for a push to the 2 prong knowing it does have more of a round diamond shape? To be transparent the bracelets are both from Costco, I started out with local jewelers went to small jewelers and chains and have also looked at wf and James Allen for 3 prong because Costco does not have this setting but I would be paying the same price for a 5 ct or less and not as high color or clarity grade so it just doesn’t make sense to me. That is the same on the big and small family jewelers which is how I landed on Costco. Costco does replace lost stones for the lifetime of the bracelet. I agree the 8 ct has more presence being larger but if style wise it doesn’t look as nice because it gives off a square look I don’t know if that’s the right choice if it’s off putting. Thanks again and hope this additional information helps . I really appreciate everyone’s input !!!

Still no to 2-prong, sorry!

Even if the bracelet does not get worn often, all you need is one snag on one of the two prongs and a stone could be loose and lost.

Personal preferences and all that.

I would check Costco's fine print very carefully about replacing lost stones for the lifetime of the bracelet.

Do you have to buy from Costco, as they are other vendors to consider?

DK :))

I personally prefer a rounded look but would not get a two prong setting. My impression from your posts is that you much prefer the rounded look with the two prong. I would encourage you not to make a purchase at this time. Instead save up so you can buy a three prong setting with the rounded look from a vendor such as Whiteflash. I think this will be better in the end than if you settle for a four prong.
