My MOH is very dear to me, and I really want to get her something a little bit more special than just a compact or monogrammed bag. So, I''ve been browsing Tiffany to see if there is anything she might like.

I really want to get her this star link silver bracelet, but I''m scared it may be uncomfortable to wear. However, she LOVES stars and she would probably be thrilled either way.

Then there is this freshwater pearl bracelet which is a tad more traditional, but doesn''t have the same "you love stars, and I know this, which is why I saw this and though of you right away" effect that the other bracelet has.

What to do...what to do...

I always prefer gifts with a personal touch. The stars get my vote!

Stars!! I was faced with a similar delimma--less traditional gift vs. more traditional gift (pearls) and went with the untraditional gift I knew she'd love and never buy for herself and she LOVED it. I think the personal touch makes a big difference.

I agree with Musey. The pearls are obviously beautiful, but the stars would be more meaningful to her so I''d say go with them instead.

I don''t think you could go wrong with either bracelet though....both are excellent choices :)

stars!! + tiffany gets my vote. such a nice gift and so thoughtful of you!

I thought I posted!?! I must be too tired . . .

I voted for the Tiffany Stars.

Stars!

okay, stars it is! Too bad my wedding isn''t until 8/08. I want to buy it for her now but I know I''d give it to her! haha

Oh I love both!

The pearl of course is more classic, but then again, it also seems less personal because pearls are something you can give practically anyone just to be on the safe side.

But the star bracelet is unique AND personal, and I think she will appreciate that. Plus it is a pretty neat piece anyway. (Then again, I am a star fan too)

Also, with the star bracelet, you run less of a risk of her already having a similar one. I mean lots of people have pearl strands, right? (On the other hand, most people don''t have Tiffany''s pearls, and Tiffany''s pearls are something pretty special)

I think either will be treasured (I know that''s not very helpful, is it?)

I love the stars!! The pearls are nice but I think the stars could be worn more often.

I have this bracelet (stars) so of course that''s my vote! And just so you know, it is not uncomfortable at all...doesn''t get stuck on things... I love it!

Not sure if you noticed, but Tiffany also has a necklace similar to the bracelet: star lariat necklace

(and I vote for stars too)

I just saw this thread and wanted to say I'm so glad you went with stars! I'm a star nut so they always win out. I love all of the star jewelery that Tiffany has, and I know that once I find my dress, I will be on the hunt for some appropriate star jewelery! Everyone knows when it comes to me, when in doubt for a gift, give me something with stars and I will love it. A friend once gave me mason jars as part of a gift because they had stars on them. lol. I've been itching to get that bracelet for a while, but don't feel I can justify buying it for myself. It's good to hear that it's comfortable to wear too. Anyways, enough of my rambling, I just wanted to say, great choice!!

ETA: I know how you feel about you'd want to give it to her right away, I would too! I hate having to hang onto great presents!!

Just wanted to give you a preemptive thank you on behalf of your maid of honour for being so thoughtful and generous with your gift! I've only been a maid of honour once, and was hoping to get something with some personal meaning behind it because the bride and I were friends for over half our lives. Needless to say I was rather disappointed with a blank journal it looked like she picked up at a drugstore or something for under ten bucks, which is what she gave to everyone in her bridal party--no personal touch at all! I understand if she didn't have heaps of money, but come on! She could've framed a picture of us or something...

Anyway, moral of the story: thought = good. Stars get my vote!
