Hello! I have it narrowed down to these 2 mountings I'm going to remount. 3.36 ct rb in....just needing some outside opinions...my hubby said whatever I want so that isn't helping much lol!!! Here are 3 views of each style:20210628_213153.jpg20210628_213243.jpg20210628_213212.jpg20210628_213057.jpg20210628_213039.jpg20210628_213132.jpg

#1

I love #1 but agree more prongs would be better at that size

I’d choose a 6-prong for sure. I don’t think it makes sense to put it in a 4 prong.

Definitely 6 prong. The stone is too big & will possibly be insecure in a 4 prong.

I'm not too fond of either of them. I definitely don't like the top view of the split shank. If it were a marquise or an elongated stone
I might like it but not for a RB.

I'm really liking the split shank with pave!

Not crazy about the four prong placement in #1. I like th split shank setting better but agree with the six prongs for a stone of that size.

Split shank is gorgeous!

Not a fan of either however if i had to choose, #2. The prongs on #1 takes away from the center stone, which by the way a 4-prong is fine. Mine is 3.3 and it’s sent in a 4-prong. Have to get the right kind is all. I think 6-prong also takes away from the center stone. 595CF8CE-EE1E-40DE-BE26-700EB52D3E19.jpegADDA2AF1-6BBE-40B2-A7A1-388364B3A5F5.jpeg

Gorgeous !!!! Yes I think the 4 prong will be fine too...this is not going to be my main ring anyway just kinda a side project (it was a match to one of my stud earrings and I sold the other one so I just have this setting there I realized this is way too big for studs!!! ) and one I will wear here and there...what does the side of yours look like?

Oh, I was going to show you an outstanding split shank design but I see you already ordered the ring. I hope it turns out well!

This is Victor Canera's Collette split shank ring, and I would have strongly considered it myself if I had a larger diamond. I think the one in this ring is 2.9 cts.

Here it is from the side. Just a simple pave. A19822B9-FCBE-4F7F-B010-062B680B1A7B.jpegD4644689-24D2-4583-82FF-D52D1B75BA0A.jpeg
