Hi all, dead set on buying a Canadian diamond for sentimental reasons. The diamond I loved and had all picked out unfortunately got sold even tho I thought I put it on hold :(

Anyways, I've been searching for 4-5 months now and am getting impatient. The 6 below are the best right now that are CanadaMark eligibile and within the specs I am looking for. Can you please tell me your top 1-2 favorites please? It would be super helpful.

1.21 G VS1 $11150 https://www.brilliantearth.com/loose-diamonds/view_detail/16133058/

That is a new one. Others may be in other thread. Wanted to make a concise thread so all options can be compared at once nice and cleanly.

This is the one that looks like I lost out on unfortunately which had great proportions (cert attached): https://www.brilliantearth.com/loose-diamonds/view_detail/16136105/

What about this WF? Seems much more symmetrical... and the inclusion is out on a bezel facet so it'll be less noticeable.

1.516 ct H VS2

very lovely diamond indeed but unfortunately for us, we require a CanadaMark diamond. I understand the limits the inventory and likely the quality of diamond available to us but it is what it is. The ones I listed above are the best currently out there at the moment.

The 1.21 is my favorite of these

I’m no expert, but the 1.21 seems the most symmetrical.

So no issues with it being closer to a 60/60 rather then the tolkowsky ideal?

Also found another option in the 1.2 range with non-standard proportions. Dont have an ASET but would love to know your thoughts?
A well cut 60/60 type stone can be very beautiful and lively just in a slightly different flavor than modern ideal cuts.
Think vanilla vs chocolate shake.

The new stone the numbers are good the CA is a tad low but the 55 table makes the ch 15% so its in the go range.
Need advanced images to say more.
This combo will not tolerate painting or digging very well.

Ok thank you for the info. I know you previously mentioned regarding the 1.51 G Si1 that "1.51 the grade setting inclusion is a cloud and it says clouds not shown so there is a good chance of some transparency issues." Can you elaborate on what you mean by transparency issues? If I have the stone shipped in for me, I want to be able to know what to look for. GIA and vids in link below

Bight direct light like spotlights or led or sunlight does it look like a snow globe that has been shaken up in any large amount inside the stone.

I think I finally settled on a stone, a 1.51 G Si1 barring it looks transparent in real life.

Only question: Any concern with the inclusions being around the edge and possibly affecting integrity/more prone to damage/chipping in future? There was also a 1.51 H Si1 but I prefer the G color at this size. Both stones had very nice ASETs.

Also a Digi plot from the cutter for the 1.51 G if that helps:

1.51g if no transparency issues should be ok.
