I met diamondlil at the Gem and Jewelry show. She''s just as pretty in person as her picture and very nice.

Well thank you so much, Momoftwo. It was nice to meet you also. I hope that you will come to the next formal get-together of local PS members so we can have more of a chance to talk and share or jewelry.

I''ve met a few PS member over the years. SevensOne was the first I met, and it turned out that she grew up with one of my best friends!!! It is a very small world.

Since that meeting, I''ve been to two PS get-togethers and met: Kaleigh, Lmurden, LoganSaphire, NJC, Blue824, BuenaGirl, and GemKlctr. I''ve known MissGotRocks for years before finding PS. And, of course, I just met Momoftwo last weekend.

It really is nice to put faces to names (and jewelry).

Of course I wouldn''t have known Momoftwo since I don''t know what you look like, but I saw diamondlil''s picture, so I was hoping through recognizing her I might me one or both of you. I should have told you what I''d be wearing or set up a meeting time and place, although I had no idea what to expect or what the place would be like. Oh well...

I''m sorry we missed you, Old-fashioned girl. I was there literally the entire day too. They forced us out the door at closing. I helped my friend shop for colored stones all day for a pendant project, and we were still in negotiation up to the last minute.

Did you buy anything at the show?

Oh, I can''t believe I couldn''t find you! I was there from about 12 - 3, and kept looking out for you. Oh well, I guess I''ll have to wait until the get-together.

Well, yes, but promise not to laugh.

I bought a $4 pair of earrings and a $3 bracelet. I know I am a big spender!! Also, a little bag of "diamonds" to replace some that have been falling out of a hair band I have. I''ll try to attach a picture. I held the hairband at the left, but I had that before.

Madam Bijoux, we are trying to move to the Phila. area this year. Are there many SE Pa. area Pricescopers?

Here is an ear shot of the earrings. It was funny when I bought them. I was holding them up to my ear in a mirror, deciding whether I liked them enough...

and some other lady was there buying stuff, and she said she liked them. She said, "how much are they?" And I said $4. She said, "$40?" I said, no, four. Then she was scolding me (jokingly), like, are you crazy?! $4 and you even have to think about it??? It was all in good fun. Then the salesman joked that I was making sure I wasn''t getting ripped off on these $4 earrings.

MB we have to organize a Philadelphia GTG. I am also looking forward to out next GTG this spring in Baltimore. Now that the group has grown where shall we have it?? I had a blast at the last one, hehe.

I am from there (born in TN, but grew up/live in MD). I''m in the Greater Washington area now (just a little south Laurel, in Beltsville, MD) but only an hour from Baltimore. Mom lives there after all.

Hmmmm, the pics are not posting, Old-fashioned Girl. Maybe there is a glitch and they will pop up later. Someone else was having problems with pics in the last couple of days too, so we''ll see what happens.

You know, I often come home from all day at these shows completely empty handed. Sometimes I''ll spend the day learning about something new, but not actually buy anything at all. I did get a little somethin'' at this show too though -- a sterling omega and jade/ruby pendant. Spent all of $50 on the set. If the sun ever comes out, I''ll take a quick pic and post it.

Here's my suggestion for a Philadelphia walking tour:
Start at Jewelers' Row (8th & Chestnut Streets), then proceed up Walnut Street to Paul Morelli, Tiffany, Jack Kellmer, Craig Drake and Lagos.
Turn right at 18th Street and walk to Chestnut Street. Turn left on Chestnut Street and walk to Govberg's (inside the Boyd's store). Walk back down Chestnut Street to 17th Street, turn left and wander into Linde Meyer's store at Liberty Place.
If you have any money left after that, go into the Grill Bar at the Westin Hotel for a drink. (The Grill Bar has some of the best lighting in town for diamonds.)

Next is the King of Prussia Mall walking tour:
Walk into the Plaza and start at Milanj. Then stroll into Cartier and Neiman Marcus. After you leave Neiman Marcus, go to Bailey Banks & Biddle. Tiffany, NaHoku, JE Caldwell and Iridesse are upstairs. There are lots of other jewelry stores in mall, too.

BTW, I live in Rockville, so the GTG could work for me in either place too.

I was there too, as DL noted, and I haven''t forgotten you Ira - there are too few of us guys on PS. DF, you really should take a trip east. And Ira, you should try to make it if we arrange a GTG for May in Chantilly.
